Think someone is “housebound” because they rarely leave the house? There may be more to the story.

Housebound and VA Aid & Attendance are two different rates of the same VA pension, and understanding the difference can make a big impact for veterans and surviving spouses.

Aid & Attendance is based on needing help with daily activities, while Housebound has much stricter requirements around permanent confinement to the home. And you cannot receive both.

Today, we say goodbye to a true Tennessee icon. 💔

Dolly Parton spent her life using her incredible platform to give back, lift others up, and make a difference. Her generosity reached countless communities, including military families and those who served our country.

Her music brought people together, but her kindness and compassion will be part of her legacy too. 🎶

This past weekend, we celebrated a decade of Angel’s hard work, dedication, and the impact she’s made at Patriot Angels.

Her coworkers describe her as crafty, supportive, kind, funny, and giving. If you’ve had the chance to work with Angel, you know she brings so much creativity and care into everything she does, and she has a way of making the people around her feel supported and appreciated.
