We love board games!

As children play, they practice taking turns, following directions, listening, problem-solving, early math and literacy skills, patience, and cooperation. Of course, they’re having fun while doing it!

Community 🩷

Community is one of those words we use often, but sometimes you get to actually see what community looks like.

Tuesday morning, we heard a tiny kitten crying. We quickly realized he was all alone, and we knew we needed to help him but we weren’t quite sure how.
So, we did what we do at Robots and Mud Pies. We reached out to our community. Boy, did our families come through.

Within no time, families brought food. They helped catch the kitten. One family took him home, gave him a much-needed flea bath, and even got him started with litter training. He was taken to the vet, checked out, and treated for intestinal parasites. And now, our little RAMPP kitty has a safe foster home until one of our families is able to officially adopt him.
This little guy definitely won the kitty lottery.

Watching everyone step in without hesitation to help this tiny animal reminded us that we won the community lottery.

This is what community looks like. It is noticing when someone needs help. It is showing up. It is each person offering what they can. It is our children getting to witness firsthand what happens when people come together to care for something smaller than themselves. 🩷

Our neighbor donated some kites and what followed was magical.
The children had so many questions about how kites work.
This questions led to questions about weather.
Children are natural learners!
