Yesterday we hosted our annual grower meeting in East Peoria. Attendees heard from Whitefield leadership on plans for the 2021 season and got updates from guest speakers Jon Corbisez (Whitefield Genetics), Jamie Campbell Petty (Executive Director of the Midwest H**p Council), and Bill Brill (H&B Global Distribution). It was a full day with a lot of information presented, but that is our goal…to provide ongoing guidance, education, and resources to help maximize grower success. Thanks to everyone who was able to attend!

Earlier this week, our staff joined over 500 other participants for the 2021 Illinois Virtual H**p Summit. The event was hosted by the Illinois Department of Agriculture and featured a diverse panel of researchers, growers, distributors and logistics experts from across the state. The statement from IDOA Director Jerry Costello that "H**p farmers are some of the most resilient, persistent, and optimistic people that I know" was spot on! We appreciate the Department's support as we continue to help grow this industry.
