A new "Paint Tax" is now in effect in Illinois! Illinois newest tax … — The “paint tax” is courtesy of Gov JB Pritzker (D) and Illinois Democrats...plus, a 'sales tax' on the tax!



As of Monday, December 1, you are now paying a paint tax. This past summer, Governor JB Pritzker signed Democrat legislation that will now require Illinois residents to pay an additional tax on paint products. (See photo).

Also worth noting, you will pay a sales tax on the assessed paint fee that’s added to the cost of the paint— the Illinois way!

The sign you see is posted at Sycamore, IL Menard stores and is now posted at all Menard's locations in Illinois.

This piece of legislation received almost zero press coverage, but here at DeKalb Illinois issues, we thought you should know about it. Another scheme from Illinois Democrats to separate you from your money.

Not sure how old this light post is. My guess, it use to be an oil lamp. Very ornate. Don’t make em like this anymore.
