Investigate one of the treasures of Missouri wine country at Adam Puchta Winery – located approximately one hour from St. We are the oldest continuously owned family winery in the country, founded in 1855 by Adam Puchta. Located along the banks of Frene Creek, just two miles southwest of historical Hermann, Missouri, today a visit to the winery, you will discover the Puchta legacy while sampling a

variety of wines. Come experience our Hermann winery – taste award-winning wines, browse historical buildings and cellar or join us for one of the many events held throughout the year. Open seven days a week, offering daily wine tastings. We are closed New Year's Eve, New Year’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas day. You are welcome to pack a picnic and stay awhile. We have plenty of shaded picnic tables and limited covered seating. Enjoy a glass or two of wine while enjoying the peaceful country setting.

Hermann Plein Air 🎨🍷
Where art meets winemaking.
Adam Puchta Winery is proud to sponsor the 2026 Hermann Plein Air Festival, bringing artists from near and far to capture the beauty of Hermann's rolling hills, vineyards, and landscapes.
This year's theme, Beyond the Horizon, invites artists of all ages and skill levels to paint throughout Hermann from June 7–12, culminating in a judged art show and sale on June 13 at the Historic Festhalle.
One selected painting will do more than win recognition—it will inspire a future Press House Series wine label, becoming part of the Adam Puchta story for years to come.
We can't wait to see Hermann through the eyes of this year's artists.

🍇Before Missouri wine was turning heads here at home, it helped save vineyards across the world. In the late 1800s, French vineyards were being wiped out by a tiny pest called phylloxera.

The solution? Rootstock from Missouri.That’s right. Missouri vines played a major role in helping rescue the French wine industry. So the next time you sip Missouri wine, just remember…we didn’t just make history.

Wine & Swine Festival + Vineyard 5K Returns

Save the date for one of our favorite days of the year at Adam Puchta Winery in Hermann, Missouri.

Saturday, June 27, 2026
Adam Puchta Winery | Hermann, MO

Run where the grapes grow during our scenic Vineyard 5K Trail Run, winding through Vineyard Hills, rolling countryside, and rows of Vignoles and Estate Norton grapevines.

Then stick around for the Wine & Swine Festival featuring:

Pappy’s Smokehouse Hog Roast
Live Music: King Benny, 10:00 AM–2:00 PM
Live Music: Jackson Stokes, 3:00–6:00 PM
Local Arts & Crafts Vendors
Adam Puchta Wine all day

All runners receive a finisher’s medal, and top male and female finishers in each age group will receive awards.

Whether you’re running, walking, cheering, sipping, shopping, or just here for the slushie at the finish line, this is a day you won’t want to miss.
