Half the internet loved Justin Bieber’s Coachella performance…

Half of it hated it.

That’s what happens when you stop performing…
and start being.

Everyone’s debating whether it was good or bad…
but that’s not the point.

The point is, he showed up as he is now.
Not who people expect him to be.

And when you do that,
you’re not going to be liked by everyone anymore.

You’ll be understood by the right people…
and rejected by the rest.

That’s brand identity.

It’s not about being universally liked.

It’s about being clear enough in who you are #
that the right people recognize you. ✨

Found a little something in Paris.

We were at Le Rosebud one evening… a classic Saint-Germain bar, the kind that feels like it’s been holding stories for decades… when a friend leaned across the table and said: you have to look at this brand. It sounds exactly like you.

The next day I walked into 38 Boulevard Raspail and stayed for an hour.

Her name is Caroline Abram. She grew up between Paris and Senegal, trained as an optician, and eventually built something entirely her own - frames for women who want to feel beautiful, confident, and fully themselves.

I thought… I know this story. :)

Identity made visible. The right pair doesn’t just improve how you see. It changes how you show up.

These came home with me.

Today is the last day of the conference and we are leaving with a lot of gratitude. We were the platinum sponsor for this event with the intention of supporting their mission to empower health professionals to reach more people with the healing benefits of Ayurveda. We also received so much back with the wonderful people we met, amazing research, stories we heard—inspired by it all!

And that’s why it feels forced or doesn’t connect.

Real brands are built from the inside out:

Identity → Purpose → Story → Voice → Expression

If you skip identity, everything becomes light, fluffy or just noise.

When you know who you are…
everything else becomes easy to build.

$1B to $61B in four years. I had the privilege of creating and launching that brand. 🙌

When I joined, there was half a logo. No identity. No story.
That’s exactly why most brands don’t work.

People think a logo, a tagline, a bio… that’s their brand. And then they wonder why nothing’s sticking.

Here’s what I know: Brand is the signal. Marketing is the megaphone. If the signal isn’t clear, the megaphone is just noise.

Transitions are hard. Not because you’re weak, but because your identity is transforming. 👊🏻💫

✨Every major life change invites you to let go of an old version of yourself… and step into the unknown.

✨This isn’t just about changing routines or surroundings. It’s a fundamental shift in how you see yourself and what you believe you’re capable of.

✨When you’re in the middle of it, it feels messy, confusing, and scary. You may find yourself clinging to familiar patterns, even if they no longer serve you.

✨But here’s the truth: transformation requires discomfort 😣. It’s the birthplace of new identities and deeper versions of who you are meant to be.
