Pattern Play | Weave House, Gujarat, India

Where architecture, craft, and landscape are woven together.

Designed by The BAD Studio, Weave House draws inspiration from Gujarat’s rich textile heritage, translating the patterns and rhythm of traditional Indian ikat into a contemporary architectural language.

Set along the edge of an agrarian landscape near Surat, India, the home was conceived as a retreat from city life—a place for meditation, nature, and quiet connection. Its defining features include intricate embossed and perforated brickwork, raw concrete, warm wood, limestone floors, internal gardens, courtyards, and a continuous relationship between indoors and out.

Perhaps most striking is the home’s façade, where brickwork takes on the character of fabric—turning a centuries-old textile tradition into something architectural, tactile, and entirely of its place.

There is a distinct difference between living near the water and truly experiencing the Manhattan Beach walk-street lifestyle.

The Altamura Real Estate Group has just listed an exceptional property at 216 4th Street, represented by Giovanni Altamura

Situated two blocks from the ocean and a short stroll from downtown, this custom-built Coastal Contemporary home delivers protected ocean views stretching all the way to Malibu.

The design perfectly captures indoor-outdoor coastal living, featuring a ground-floor beach room that opens directly onto a private walk-street patio and fire pit. The top-level entertaining space offers vaulted rustic wood beam ceilings, a limestone fireplace, a custom wet bar, and a chef’s kitchen outfitted with premium Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances. Below, the primary suite serves as a true retreat with a spa-inspired bath and a standalone concrete soaking tub.

Fully equipped with Crestron home automation, solar panels, and a Tesla charging station with a backup generator, this property is the definition of turnkey coastal luxury. Opportunities on this specific street are incredibly rare.

2120 The Strand and 2114/2116 The Strand are more than just a piece of land; they are a legacy project that has been in the seller's family for generations.

Priced at $24 million with the option for buyers to purchase the parcels separately for $10-$14 million, the property packages flexibility with the time saved in the typically long, precarious approval process and plum proximity to the beach and the quintessential Manhattan Beach lifestyle.

The article perfectly captures why this double-lot offering is so unprecedented. With a final Coastal Development Permit already secured and breathtaking plans by prominent local architect Michael Lee (), the heavy lifting is done. The complex, three-year approval process has already been navigated, saving the future owner an immense amount of time and money.

Read the full story on how this project came together and what makes it the most unique development opportunity in Manhattan Beach right now.

A Once-in-a-Lifetime Canvas on The Strand. 🌊

As local agents, we know the ultimate dream is building a custom legacy property right on the water in Manhattan Beach. But we also know the reality: navigating coastal approvals and securing permits from scratch can take years.

What if you could skip the line?

We are thrilled to present 2120 The Strand—an ultra-rare double lot on a coveted corner that comes with a massive head start. The sellers have spent three years and a six-figure investment doing the heavy lifting, meaning this property is being offered with a final Coastal Development Permit already in place. As Giovanni puts it, "Time is money. It is one of the most sought-after commodities because you can’t get it back."

Working alongside renowned local architect Michael Lee, the proposed vision features two distinct, warm-contemporary structures—a stunning main residence and a separate, beautifully designed duplex featuring a protected private courtyard. The design embraces the coastal lifestyle with vast glass, natural stone, and sweeping ocean views, while still acting as a "blueprint of possibility" that you can fully customize to your exact taste.

The Opportunity:
You can acquire this incredible double-lot package for $24M, or explore the option to purchase the parcels separately ($10M–$14M).

Opportunities to build on a prominent Strand corner without the years of red tape simply don't happen.
