Unissant’s iVerge℠ Governed Agentic Testing (G*T) is now Awardable through the Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace, operated by the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO).

As AI increases the speed and scale of software testing, the evidence behind release decisions has to keep pace. G*T helps government program teams strengthen that evidence through mutation-driven testing, independent Red Team challenge and human-governed release authority.

G*T is part of Unissant MissionWORKS™, our lab-to-field model for turning mission demand into repeatable, evidence-backed solutions. Its Awardable status gives government customers a streamlined path to evaluate G*T and apply the approach in their own software environments.

We look forward to working with government teams to strengthen the evidence behind mission software as it moves toward deployment.

George Mason University’s Board of Visitors has elected our President and CEO, Sumeet Shrivastava, as rector, where he will lead George Mason’s governing board as the university develops its next strategic plan and looks ahead to the future of public higher education.

Sumeet’s relationship with George Mason spans decades, from earning his MBA there to serving as president of the Alumni Association and chair of the George Mason University Foundation Board of Trustees. Across that time, his focus has been on expanding opportunity. He has supported programs that connect George Mason more closely to the government contracting and entrepreneurial communities, helped create pathways for entrepreneurs, and invested in institutions that strengthen education and economic opportunity across Northern Virginia.

That same commitment carries into his leadership at Unissant, where he is advancing our mission to keep the nation healthy and safe through our work across National Security and Federal Health.

Congratulations to Sumeet on this next chapter of leadership at George Mason!

Next week, Unissant's Shaun Swartz, Vice President of Defense, and Kieran Holloway, Mission Executive for Defense, will be in Montgomery for DAFITC, the Department of the Air Force’s annual IT and cyberpower training and education event.
This year’s theme, “Accelerating the Digital Edge: From Enterprise to Orbit,” focuses on the Department’s move toward a unified, resilient and AI-augmented digital architecture.

We anticipate engaging in conversations spanning AI-driven modernization, cybersecurity, and rapid capability delivery.

All of those topics connect directly to Unissant MissionWORKS™, our lab-to-field model for turning mission needs and emerging technology into secure, operational capabilities that can be reused and scaled across mission environments. That same focus is already part of our work supporting Air Force customers, helping transition emerging technologies from lab to operational use for the warfighter.

If you’re attending DAFITC, connect with Shaun and Kieran. We look forward to seeing you there.

Congratulations to Unissant CFO Bob Deegan, named a DCA Live GovCon CFO Star for the second consecutive year!

Bob has spent decades helping GovCon companies navigate growth with financial discipline while bringing operational perspective to each stage of the journey. That experience helps strengthen the foundation behind our work so Unissant can continue delivering for the federal missions we support.

We look forward to celebrating Bob and the full group of honorees at DCA Live’s September 2 event in Washington, D.C.

Federal Health agencies are operating in increasingly complex data environments. Interoperability now directly impacts operational efficiency, decision-making, and the ability to deliver mission outcomes effectively.

The Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) standard is quickly becoming foundational to healthcare modernization efforts across government. Developed by HL7 International, FHIR provides a modern framework for exchanging healthcare information across systems and applications. It helps organizations reduce fragmentation and create more connected, accessible, and operationally useful data environments.

Our teams at Unissant are exploring how AI-enabled data transformation can help modernize legacy HL7 structures, improve interoperability, and reduce friction across disconnected systems and workflows. The work reflects our broader focus on applying AI and data capabilities in ways that support real operational outcomes inside mission environments.

Engineering continues to shape how Alka Bhave approaches leadership.

Alka Bhave, Unissant’s Chief Operating Officer and General Manager of National Security, joined host Jim Donnelly on INSA’s Intelligence Career Conversations podcast to discuss her path from engineer to executive leader.

Alka shares how systems thinking helps leaders connect technical decisions to mission outcomes and why federal mission success increasingly depends on pairing technology skills with mission understanding.

“Technical expertise remains important,” she says. “But mission success increasingly depends on interdisciplinary thinking.”

Unissant has been awarded subcontracts on two new federal programs – helping the defense and intelligence communities move research into operational use and supporting mission technology within the Department of Homeland Security.

The programs address a challenge that sits at the center of National Security modernization. Agencies need better ways to move research into operational use while keeping the systems already in the field performing under mission conditions.

“Across National Security, the gap between what gets developed and what gets operationalized has become a defining challenge,” said Alka Bhave, Chief Operating Officer and General Manager of National Security at Unissant. “These programs put us to work on both sides of that gap, helping research transition toward mission use and keeping the systems agencies depend on performing in real time.”

In a new Q&A with OrangeSlices, Ian Graham, General Manager of Federal Health at Unissant, examines how The National Institutes of Healthcan streamline acquisition without losing the mission context behind scientific IT.

Scientific data environments and AI-enabled research workflows require acquisition pathways built around how NIH Institutes and Centers conduct research. Ian explains how the NIH IT BPA provides an established, agency-wide path for those specialized needs.

Our thanks to OrangeSlices AI for the conversation.

Today we launched Unissant MissionWORKS™: our lab-to-field flywheel for scalable mission innovation.

Scaling innovation is challenging when it happens through disconnected pilots and one-off builds. MissionWORKS (Mission-Wide Outcomes for Reuse, Knowledge, and Scale) converts complex mission demand into repeatable, evidence-backed capabilities, built on our accelerator foundations and strengthened by every cycle of operational feedback.

“When we think about innovation, we start inside the mission. Unissant MissionWORKS codifies how we turn proven and tested innovation into mission-tied capabilities agencies can adopt at the speed of need.” – Alka Bhave, COO and General Manager, National Security

Already deployed in active customer environments, MissionWORKS has cut the path for onboarding new applications from months to weeks while maintaining governance, oversight, and ex*****on continuity.
