I AM PARTICIPATING ON AVERAGE ON ONE PODCAST PER WEEK.
These are some of the emerging themes. Much of this attention coming from my recent book “Tackling Toxicity” - getting me all these podcast invitations.

Here are some of the provocative comments I am making in these podcasts. Agree or disagree? (Why my firm is so busy).

“Most organizations don’t train/coach their supervisors and managers to supervise and manage.”

“We expect you to be a natural born supervisor, manager when we hire or promote you. I never question their intentions but with no training or guidance they fail and then we blame them.”

“Most people don’t understand the difference between supervision, management, and leadership and these roles require different competencies, skills, and knowledge and again we don’t train them.”

“Most people can barely manage people like themselves let alone people that are different.”

“Too many organizations are not Psychologically Safe, hence Trusting relationships don’t form and toxicity rules the environment. Managers don’t know how to address the toxicity especially if they are conflict avoiders.”

DTG office sold. I was the landlord and the tenant for nearly 25 years.

That’s it! That’s a wrap! Corporate HQ of my 30 year old firm, Diversity Training Group just “vacated premises.” I went through decades of my professional life purging, throwing away stuff, donating and giving stuff away the last two weeks.

Downtown Herndon - Great office, great location. Walking distance to so many restaurants and I brought max to our favorite restaurant “Jimmy’s Tavern” where max sat by my side outside regularly.

Now I will be working out of smaller, local office and my satellite office at Fenwick Island, DE.

Not quitting, downsizing - work is way too good to quit. Between my recent book “Tackling Toxicity,” current events, and DEI coming back nicely, I am having way too much fun and helping so many. Psychological Safety, Trust, Emotional Intelligence, Change Management, Employee Engagement - what these times and my clients call for, demand.

30 years and just hitting my stride.
