My work is often driven by CURRENT EVENTS.

Requests for SEXUAL HARASSMENT PREVENTION TRAINING “coming in hot.” Isuspect employers are asking - “When was the last time we trained our people on these issues?” (Risk Managment 101).

Requests for ETHICS TRAINING a close second. Wonder what current events are making people think about improving their ethics in the workplace? (Risk Management 201).

GENDER EQUITY, SEXUAL HARASSMENT PREVENTION TRAINING

- Yesterday I facilitated three workshops (2 for employees, 1 for management) for a client. Today I lead another Harassment Prevention training for a local client.

Presently providing GENDER EQUITY EXECUTIVE COACHING to several senior executives.

Last week in WV I led a workshop on the “Leader’s Toolkit.” (public session for a bunch of employers).

Two clients in a row just asked for Sexual Harassment Prevention Training for all of their employees.

“Most organizations don’t train/coach their supervisors and managers to supervise and manage.”

“We expect you to be a natural born supervisor, manager when we hire or promote you. I never question their intentions but with no training or guidance they fail and then we blame them.”

“Most people don’t understand the difference between supervision, management, and leadership and these roles require different competencies, skills, and knowledge and again we don’t train them.”

“Most people can barely manage people like themselves let alone people that are different.”

“Too many organizations are not Psychologically Safe, hence Trusting relationships don’t form and toxicity rules the environment. Managers don’t know how to address the toxicity especially if they are conflict avoiders.”
