West Virginia Clays, Inc. West Virginia Clays, Inc. is West Virginia's premier s***t, trap and five-stand sporting clays club, and is open to the public. Life memberships are $500.

The Club has two s***t fields, one combination s***t and trap field, and a five-stand sporting clays field. We also have a comfortable clubhouse with a spacious deck for relaxing between rounds of shooting. Snacks and soft drinks are available. (Alcoholic beverages are not permitted). We also have a picnic pavilion with outdoor fireplace and patio. The Club is open to the public, and shooters do n

ot have to be Club members to participate in shooting. We welcome all shooters who demonstrate the ability and willingness to follow all applicable safety rules and club policies. We reserve the right to prohibit individuals from shooting in the event of violations of safety rules and club policies. Basic safety rules are posted and new shooters receive a safety briefing before shooting. Eye and ear protection is required for all shooters and spectators on the shooting fields. Although Club membership is not required for shooting, members receive significant benefits, and we encourage and welcome new members. Membership dues are $100 per calendar year. Currently, members shoot for $5.00 per round of s***t and trap, and $8.00 for a round of five-stand. Non-members shoot for $7.00 per round of s***t and trap and $10.00 for a round of five-stand. Effective January 1, 2025 prices will increase to $7.00 per round of s***t and trap, and $10.00 for five-stand. Non-members will pay $10.00 per round of s***t and trap and $15.00 per round of five-stand. Shooters must supply their own shotguns and ammunition; however, ammunition is available for purchase at the club. Members can also purchase reloading supplies and participate in tournaments and other special events during the year. Safe shooting is a requirement for all!

The West Virginia State S***t Championships will be held at West Virginia Clays Inc., in Hernshaw, West Virginia during August 7-9, 2026. If you intend to shoot in this year’s championships, we need to hear from you. If you intend to shoot individually, or bring a squad, please contact Phil Parsons at [email protected]. We need to hear from you as soon as possible in order to plan for coverage, facilities, and food! In addition, let us know if you would be interested in volunteering to help with the shoot. ???? WANT TO IMPROVE YOUR S***T SHOOTING ????

West Virginia is starting a S***t Practice and Improvement League led by Frank Akers!

Starting this Friday, May 15 at 5:00 pm! Come shoot 4 rounds and receive your scoresheets to take home and study. You’ll be able to analyze what stations give you the most trouble.

Bring you own squad of five or just come and join in.

The league will meet every other Friday and will continue as long as there is enough interest to warrant offering it.

Though it is not a competition, it will be conducted like one so you will be able to concentrate on your shooting.

WELL FOLKS, YOU SPOKE AND WE LISTENED. We received some great feedback! Many positive comments but we also received a lot of constructive criticism. We have reviewed the results of the surveys and it is clear that your two biggest issues are access and cost!

As a result, we are lowering the cost of our 5-stand Sporting Clays range to $7.00 a round for members and $10.00 a round for non-members! This is effective immediately!

As you all know, we are run solely by volunteers (and not very many) , so bear with us as we work on your other issues.

Keep an eye on this page for more changes to come.
