This will be fun…
We’re starting new project. Hope you follow along. But first, here’s a secret…
I’m actually terrible at tech, it’s almost laughable I went into a technology business. Me and tech are like oil and water.
In fact one of the companies biggest weaknesses over the years, has been my lack of skill with tech. I can’t program, definitely can’t set up a network, and definitely can’t train, hire or manage techs and programmers.
It’s had its own silver lining. My brother Greg, the Wizard, had to dumb the tech down for me SO MUCH, to an embarrassingly low level for me to understand it on even the simplest level, BUT I’m pretty good at teaching and coaching.
So once Greg broke it down for me, I could explain it to Clients really well through our blogs and videos.
So this time, I’m going to try something fun. I’m going to build out a full system at my house. The constraint, I can only use tech that’s easy for me to install and program, or that I can learn how in minimal time. If I have to get Greg’s help, I can’t use it. And I’ll bring you along for the ride.
This is going to be a little different. Less polish on our videos and images, less scripts, just me figuring out tech for our home and sharing the good bad and the ugly with you.
I forgot to say in the video, but why Josh. Simple, it’s the one system I can program :)
