BenefitsDNA Consulting Actuary Kristen Miele Earns Fellow of the Society of Actuaries Designation

HERSHEY, Pa., October 14, 2026: BenefitsDNA, a fiduciary-aligned health and welfare benefits consulting firm, today announced that Consulting Actuary Kristen Miele has earned the designation of Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA), effective October 14, 2026.

The FSA is the Society of Actuaries’ highest professional credential. It requires the completion of a rigorous series of examinations, applied professional coursework, and the Fellowship Admissions Course, which Ms. Miele recently completed. Fewer than 22,000 actuaries worldwide hold the FSA designation.

Ms. Miele advises BenefitsDNA clients on self-funded plan analysis, stop loss, funding strategy, and financial modeling. She also leads specialty project work involving extremely large and complex data sets. Her work helps employers and plan sponsors make decisions grounded in data rather than carrier narrative.

“Kristen’s FSA is a result of years of discipline, and it strengthens what we promise our clients, which is independent, defensible analysis,” said Justin Leader, President and CEO of BenefitsDNA. “Most of all, I am proud of her for her tireless efforts and dedication to her profession, as well as all the things that make her such a great part of our team.”

“It means that all the late nights and early mornings studying were worth it. It’s such a milestone in the actuarial profession and not everyone gets here, so I’m proud of myself for sticking with it,” said Ms. Miele.

Ms. Miele’s name will be added to the SOA directory with the FSA designation once the Society posts its updated Fellow list.
