And our Padilla 88TH Aniversario was also named one Cigar Aficionados Top 25 Ci**rs of the year. Making it the 5th time we have been in the Too ci**rs list. We have been quietly crafting the best boutique ci**rs for the past 20 years. There’s a lot of distracting noise in the industry for the past decade. Which means the end consumer over pays for hype and misses out on a lot of great brands. If you are following us than you already know. **rs is honored to one once again be recognized as one of the Top 25 Ci**rs in the world by This the 5th time in our 20 year history. That we have been named among the Top 25 ci**rs in the world. We want to thank some one who was the key in making this happen . We first began working with Abdel Fernandez over a decade ago. When he was barely known outside of Nicaragua. We came to him with a vision and idea. He inventories of aged and properly selected are beyond the norm of any Nicaragua. We knew his passion for his craft before most. With his help we knew we could create a complex cigar to honor our families heritage not only in Cuba as to***co growers, but a historic and artistic legacy of Cuba’s history and its continued sturggle for freedom. We are still a very small boutique company. With almost no distribution in the U.S.A. This cigar will be a challenge to find for many of you. That is in your local brick and mortar shops. We want to also thank those small amount of retailers who are educated enough in ci**rs to really know what we have done and are truly doing. 20 years, 5 Top 25 showings and still they question us. As Kevin Hart said …”they gonna learn today” seek this cigar are out, if you are a true cigar smoker that doesn’t care about marketing hype. We don’t advertise with Cigar Aficionado. Happy Thursday. Today I’m reading Legacies, a collection of poems by Heberto Padilla. In the early 1970s Padilla was imprisoned by the Castro regime for criticizing the Cuban government.⁣

I’m also enjoying a cigar by his son, Ernesto Padilla, called the Padilla Anniversary 85th Heberto Padilla. Released in 2016, the cigar was meant to honor the upcoming 85th birthday of Ernesto’s father, who passed away in 2000. The cigar measures 5 inches by 54 ring gauge, and was made with a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and fillers.⁣

Five years I’ve been saving this cigar. Glad I smoked it now…a good throwback Thursday smoke.⁣
