Eveleth-Virginia Flying Club

Eveleth-Virginia Flying Club The Eveleth-Virginia Flying Club is here to help stimulate an interest in aviation and provide an opportunity to fly affordably and safely.

The Eveleth-Virginia Flying Club was founded in 1964 by people who came together by their love of aviation. The first airplane owned by the club was an Aeronca Champ, so the official corporate name is the Eveleth-Virginia Champ Club. Today, the club continues to be located at the Eveleth Virginia Municipal Airport, but the airplane is now a Piper Arrow. About the Arrow: It is fast, comfortable, e

conomical, safe and easy to fly despite its "complex aircraft" designation. The cruise speed is 150 MPH (130 KTS) and can easily fit 4 regular sized adults. It has a retractable gear, adjustable prop and is capable of flying under instrument conditions. It is the perfect plane for the weekend warrior, the regional business traveler or the private pilot looking to earn instrument or commercial ratings. The club members are committed to aviation on the Iron Range, and helping the future pilots of the world get the information they need. Please feel free to contact us with your questions. To prospective club members, this is your chance to own a 1/5th share of a great airplane. You must have your private pilot's certificate to become a member. Also please feel free to contact us with your questions.
