I so enjoy watching someone use their inborn skills. They work with a quiet confidence, passion and joyful spirit. That’s true of my hair stylist, Ann Miller. I wasn’t at all surprised to learn that she remembers cutting & styling all her Barbie dolls hair at 9 years old and regularly helped comb out her Grandma’s permed curls! Consequently that natural ability to work with hair and find the best styles for each person motivated her to go into cosmetology at the vo-tech center her junior year of high school. She graduated from their program and shortly after became licensed. Now 30 years later she continues to love styling and coloring hair and does it exceedingly well. I’m so glad to have found Ann after my stylist who I had gone to for 35 years retired.

It is so rewarding when you use your natural talents! My husband, Tom Pearson, learned in his youth how much he enjoyed operating large equipment. He tried a different career path that left him unsatisfied so returned full circle and began his own excavating company. Now 41 years later he continues to love this job. He can back up anything with ease…including trailers & trucks no matter their length…so impressive to me who doesn’t even like to back up my sedan.😲 When he runs equipment it becomes an extension of his hand. Figuring out elevations & site drainage…no problem. Wow!

Discovering your God given gifts as I have with my “Systematized Vision” for organizing, and Tom did with excavating, let’s you feel fulfilled. Leave frustration behind & partner with those who have skills you don’t…and share your set of skills with others.😊

Wouldn’t this retro 1957 bright blue Corvette that we saw at the Gilmore Car Show be perfect for The Organizer’s Touch?? I love sports cars but fortunately for my husband this car isn’t on my “Bucket List” to purchase.

However, taking a cruise in a Corvette was…but that was checked off in 2019 when I was asked to ride in Tom’s 1967 Stingray (who ended up later becoming my husband😊)! I find “Bucket Lists” a great way to watch for unique opportunities that fulfill small & big dreams.

At 13 years old I began working after school several days a week for my Dad’s pre-press trade shop. My 25 years there gave me a great appreciation for all small businesses. Consequently, I love supporting & promoting them when possible. A couple years ago my Dad’s wedding band slipped off his finger never to be found. So he unsuccessfully tried to wear my Mom’s wedding band set who passed away in 2016. Fortunately, I knew the owner, Ginger Smietana, of Edgin Creations in Paw Paw who restyles jewelry & with her expertise she was able to create a ring for my Dad that reminds him of some of his most cherished memories! Consider your local companies first when buying products & services - they are a great resource.😊
