By Friday, the crew may be different. Access may have moved. Another trade may now be working beside the task. Rework may send the team back into a space under entirely new constraints.

That matters because OSHA specifically recommends evaluating changes in workflow, work organization, equipment, materials, and processes for potential hazards before those changes are introduced.

A useful trigger for project teams: when the assumptions behind the original plan stop matching the work in front of you, reopen the conversation before work continues.

Four words that deserve a second look on site: “It was checked yesterday.”

A critical control can have a surprisingly short shelf life on an active project. A pedestrian route that worked yesterday may be affected by today’s delivery. A fall-protection setup may need another review after access or work conditions change. OSHA recommends confirming that controls continue to provide protection, including when conditions, processes, or equipment change.

Before the next high-risk task starts, ask one practical question: What condition are we relying on, and has someone verified it today?

What’s the phrase that makes you look twice on site: “we already checked it” or “nothing changed”?

Construction has plenty of doors. The real test is what happens after someone walks through one. 👀

The timing matters. In AGC/NCCER’s latest 2026 workforce survey, 87% of contractors reported hourly craft openings, 82% reported salaried openings, and half said available candidates lacked the skills, certifications, or licenses they needed.

This October, Jack Toohey, Manager, Recruitment & Talent Strategy at Infinite Consulting Corp., will take on the 2026 Dublin Marathon in support of the Alzheimer Society of Ireland, a cause with a deeply personal connection to his family.

Through Infinite Cares, Jack was able to nominate an organization that matters personally to him, and Infinite is proud to support his fundraiser as part of that commitment. It’s a meaningful reminder that giving back can start with the causes our people already carry with them.

In Jack’s words:

“I am running the 2026 Dublin Marathon in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland as it is a cause very close to me, one which has supported my family directly in times of need when I had family members suffering from the disease and who have sadly passed as a result. This organization does an amazing job to make lives easier for patients suffering and their families going through a lot at the same time. I am extremely grateful that Infinite Consulting allows employees to nominate causes close to them to be considered for the Infinite Cares Foundation.”

Jack hits the starting line on October 25—one day before his 30th birthday. A pretty memorable way to close out his twenties, and an even more meaningful reason to make every mile count.

We’re excited to welcome Frank Corona to Infinite Consulting Corp as Chief Operating Officer!

Frank brings more than 40 years of experience in construction, project, and program management. He most recently served as Vice President and Construction Project Management Director, following more than 25 years with his previous firm. His experience includes leadership roles on major capital programs for New York City Department of Design and Construction, NYC Health + Hospitals, DASNY - Dormitory Authority of the State of New York, NYC DEP, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority - MTA, and others.

Throughout his career, Frank has led complex projects and programs while mentoring teams, managing operations, and building strong client relationships. He also shares his experience with the next generation as an adjunct professor at NYU Tandon School of Engineering and a construction management mentor. He is a Fellow of the CMAA and a former president of its Metropolitan Chapter.

As COO, Frank will work closely with our leadership team to strengthen operations, develop our people, and support Infinite’s continued growth. He will also lead our Program and Construction Management division, helping expand our capabilities and prepare our teams for larger and more complex assignments while continuing to deliver exceptional service to our clients.

We’re excited about what Frank’s experience and leadership bring to our team and the clients we serve.

Who’s Missing Before the Work Starts?

Quick test: the pre-task meeting starts in 60 seconds. Which seat can’t afford to stay empty?

Maybe it belongs to the person doing the task. The subcontractor entering the area today. The next shift inheriting the work. Or the person who raised a concern yesterday and never heard what happened next.

OSHA notes that workers often have some of the closest knowledge of the hazards tied to their jobs and meaningful participation should extend across contractors, subcontractors, and temporary workers. The strongest field conversations make room for that information before the plan becomes the work. OSHA

So before the next huddle wraps, try one more question:
