Today we celebrated the retirement of one of our most faithful Care Helpers!

After 4 years of dedicated service with A Helper’s Heart Home Care and more than 40 years in the caregiving industry, she has officially retired.

Throughout her time with us, she served at least five of our clients, with most being full time cases. Her dedication, attentiveness, dependability and work ethic are qualities that are unfortunately becoming harder to find in this industry. Families absolutely loved her, and so did we. Our owner would often say, “If I could clone her, I would!” That alone speaks to the kind of Care Helper she has been.

She served with passion, took pride in her work and genuinely cared for the clients entrusted to her. We are so grateful for the four years she gave to A Helper’s Heart Home Care and the more than 40 years she dedicated to caring for others.

Happy Retirement! You have certainly earned it. 💙⚓️💙🏠

The immediate crisis following the August 11 storms has passed, but for many Northwest Indiana residents, recovery continues in the weeks and months ahead.

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Gary has helped hundreds of our neighbors since the storms, and storm relief funds are still available for residents of Porter and LaPorte counties.

Depending on individual circumstances, assistance may be available for:
• Food replacement
• Storm-related rent or mortgage assistance
• Insurance deductibles
• Storm-related home repairs and appliance replacement
• Other storm-related expenses
