Happy Saturday Douglas County and neighbors đź‘‹

Chances are your sprinkler system has one of these issues right now 👇

• Roots pushing heads over and wrecking coverage

• Old manifolds failing / leaking / buried messes

• Broken wires and bad connections causing zones not to run

• Valves not opening, not closing, or weeping constantly

• Systems just not set up right from the start

We track it down, fix it, and clean it up right.

All work is done clean — dirt on tarps, rock set aside, everything put back how it should be.

Not just a repair, but something you can actually service later.

If your sprinkler system isn’t working right, there’s always a reason — it just takes the right tools and experience to find it.

We handle:

✔️ Valve diagnostics & rebuilds
✔️ Manifold rebuilds & new installs
✔️ Wire tracing & electrical issues
✔️ Leak detection & repairs
✔️ Head relocation & coverage fixes
✔️ System cleanups from years of neglect
15+ years experience — this is what we do.

We see this all the time in valve boxes…

Indoor wire connectors being used underground — sitting in dirt, moisture, and sometimes straight up water.

Those are NOT made for irrigation systems.

When the wrong connectors are used, water gets into the connection and can cause:

• Intermittent zones turning on/off
• Valves not activating at all
• Shorts/blown fuses at the controller
• Corrosion breaking down the copper
• Hours of unnecessary troubleshooting

This is why we ONLY use waterproof connectors rated for direct burial — like DryConn King connectors with silicone-filled seals.

In these photos:

➡️ Old setup had standard (orange) connectors – not sealed, not protected

➡️ We replaced everything with DryConn King (blue) waterproof connectors

➡️ Cleaned up and organized the box for easy service later

We also:

• Properly strip and twist wires before installing connectors

• Tighten connectors so they actually bind the wires together

• Organize wiring so you can identify zones without digging through a mess

A clean valve box isn’t just about looks — it saves time, money, and headaches when something needs to be serviced.

If your system isn’t working right, there’s usually a reason — it just takes the right tools and experience to find it.

Been doing a lot of valve work lately, so figured I’d share a little insight 👇

Your sprinkler valves are what control the flow of water to each zone. When your timer tells a zone to run, it sends power to the solenoid, which opens the valve by releasing pressure off the diaphragm. That diaphragm is what actually seals and stops the water when the zone shuts off.
Over time, that rubber diaphragm breaks down.

When it starts to go bad, a few things happen:

• “Weeping” valves (zone slowly leaking water even when off)
• Zones that won’t shut off all the way
• Weak or inconsistent pressure
• Random zones running when they shouldn’t

In some of these pics, you can literally see the diaphragm deteriorating—and even rubbing off on my fingers. Once it gets to that point, it’s not doing its job anymore.

A lot of times people think it’s a controller issue, but it’s actually mechanical failure inside the valve.

This is why a proper system check matters. We don’t just turn systems on—we look for underlying issues, efficiency problems, and things that are going to fail next.
If your system is acting up, there’s always a reason. It just takes the right tools and experience to find it.

This is the kind of work we handle everyday.

Broken wires, leaks, old valve setups, pinched lines — tracking it down and fixing it right.

If your sprinkler system isn’t working right, there’s usually a reason.

We’re also getting systems dialed in for mid-May and the Stage 1 restrictions.

It’s dry — making sure coverage is right, leaks are fixed, and everything’s running the way it should.

We can also set timers up for cycle and soak (if your controller allows it) so you’re not wasting water and watering efficiently.

Less waste, better watering, lower bills.

It’s already dry… and we’re just getting started.

With limited watering days, your lawn either:

Survives
or
Turns patchy and stressed

The difference is how well your system and soil perform.

We help homeowners get the most out of every watering cycle:

âś” Proper sprinkler coverage (no dry spots)
âś” Head spacing & alignment
âś” Fertilizer applications for stronger root growth
âś” Soil amendments to retain moisture
âś” Fixing inefficiencies that waste water

A healthy lawn isn’t about watering MORE… it’s about watering RIGHT.

If your lawn struggled last year, let’s fix it before summer hits.

Did a system check this week and found MULTIPLE leaks the homeowner didn’t even know about 👇

This is exactly why system diagnostics matter.

These leaks were:
• Wasting water every time the system ran
• Dropping pressure to other heads
• Driving up the water bill
• Slowly damaging the yard

Most people turn their system on and assume it’s fine… it’s usually not.

Our system check includes:

âś” Running every zone
âś” Checking coverage & pressure
âś” Finding hidden leaks
âś” Adjusting heads
âś” Identifying weak/problem areas

No guesswork 🌱 No wasted water.

If you haven’t had your system looked at this season, now is the time—especially with restrictions.

Water restrictions are here… and rates are going UP.

If you’re only allowed to water 2 days a week, your system needs to be DIALED.

Most systems we check are wasting water:

• Mismatched heads
• Overspray onto concrete
• Poor pressure
• Leaks underground
• Old inefficient nozzles

That = higher bills + dry spots + stressed lawn.

We can help you:

âś” Upgrade to high-efficiency nozzles
âś” Adjust coverage so every zone actually hits what it should
âś” Fix pressure issues
âś” Make your system water smarter, not longer
You don’t need more water… you need better use of it.
