We will be doing Network Upgrades starting at 11PM EST March 31, 2021 - 3AM EST April 1, 2021. During this time service maybe offline. Spring Sun Outages

We are at the time of year when you can expect to see disruption to our Video distribution due to solar interference. The effect is due to the sun’s radiation overwhelming the satellite signal and occurs twice per year around the Spring and Autumn equinoxes. At these times, the apparent path of the sun across the sky takes it directly behind the line of sight between the earth stations and satellites. As the sun radiates strongly at the microwave frequencies used to communicate with satellites the sun swamps the signal from the satellite. The effects of a sun outage can include partial degradation or total destruction of the signal. Whilst these outage are unavoidable, they can be predicted and usually last about 15 to 20 minutes. We are expected to see this disruption during the first week of March between 3:45PM and 4:30PM.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to the Highlands Cable Group community! We are proud to serve the Highlands area and continue to grow our tribe. Look for some exciting advancements to come this year. We have planned, designed and submitted over 125 pole request for the Greater Downtown area of Highlands to bring our Fiber services to Business and Residents. We will be migrating more of our lineup to Digital and adding more HD channels.
