Question: Would you like to have DOUBLE the county average for corn and soybean yields with the same input costs? Yes, TWICE as many bushels per acre; same costs.
Russell Hedrick is a keynote speaker December 3 (Wednesday) at Der Dutchman Restaurant in Plain City for our annual Ohio No-Till Conference.
Russell set a North Carolina corn yield record in 2023 with 459 bpa. This year, dry weather reduced his contest yield to 360 bpa.
Here's a more important point: His whole farm average was 223 bpa. The county average is only 100 bpa. DOUBLE the average for his neighbors around Hickory, NC.
Similar for Soybeans: his contest yield was 112 bpa and whole farm avg was 78 bpa. The county average in 2025 was 35. Again, DOUBLE, with the same input costs.
Our Dec. 3 Ohio No-till Conference is posted on: OhioNotillCouncil.com.
Program starts at 9:00 am.; ends about 4:00 pm.
Registration is only $50 (online or mail a check). Includes a famous Der Dutchman lunch. (plus breaks). Please register by Friday, Nov. 28.

Deborah attended and graduated from Morgantown High School while her dad was the basketball coach at West Virginia University. She was a champion swimmer at Arizona State University. Here's Deborah's entry for the Award (edited):

I’m Deborah Gardner. My career has taken me from being a top collegiate swimmer, to a TV sportscaster for CBS (one of only 3 females at the time), to work in hospitality, to professional speaking. All those experiences led me to form DG International, a global powerhouse company of thriving enterprises.

At the core of our diverse portfolio is a speaking and podcast business. I’m dedicated to inspiring individuals to not only dream big but to take tangible steps towards a life of growth and prosperity. I believe that embodying the spirit of a champion is about sharing with those who aspire to reach similar heights.

Our Home Watch Service stands as a testament to our commitment to enhancing the quality of customer service. We consistently check on our customers' homes, keeping them safe and secure from potential harm, providing our customers peace of mind while they are away.

Our Meeting and Events business serves as a B2B nexus, fostering collaboration and partnerships among like-minded entities. We provide an easy-to-use platform for businesses to engage, network, and flourish, which contributes to the success of others and the collective advancement of industries.

Each business is a testament to our entrepreneurial spirit and unwavering dedication. We stand as architects of inspiration, builders of better home life, and catalysts for fruitful collaborations – shaping a world where individuals and businesses alike thrive under the banner of DG International.

My dedication to family and faith is a cornerstone of my identity. My initiative to allocate donations from DG International to rescue animals is a powerful way to make a positive impact on the world. I've had to work extremely hard while confronting plenty of obstacles head-on. Yet, demonstrating perseverance, consistency, belief, and resilience is the hallmark of a true champion. My life-long determination to excel as a swimmer exemplifies discipline, dedication, and a commitment to personal excellence.

Why start a business? Shifting from the rigid structures of corporate America to the realm of pursuing my passion and dreams marked a profound evolution in my entrepreneurial journey. I chose the liberating road of investing in my passions.

Success was not handed to me. I've had to work hard while confronting plenty of obstacles head-on. I’ve written six books, including “Life in the Fast Lane.” Demonstrating perseverance, consistency, belief, and resilience is the hallmark of a true champion. Competing and winning the Entrepreneur Award isn't merely a goal for me; it's the culmination of relentless dedication, unwavering bravery, and drive. Having the winner's mindset means waking up every day knowing that challenges are opportunities, failures are lessons, and success is not a destination but a journey.

Ok, that sounds impressive. Deborah appreciates our support. (If you happen to get an automatic email after voting, you can unsubscribe.) (The photo is of Deborah in one of her businesses, Professional Speaking.)
