Sending a (late) Congratulations to Esiree Gonzalez on 5 years at R&D Plastics!

Esiree started in the backup quality inspector position in the middle of 2023. A few months later, the primary position opened, and we were very happy to move her into the role. Esiree has a great attention to detail, and will often ask questions regarding part quality when she finds even the smallest defect, and this has without a doubt prevented nonconforming parts from leaving R&D. We are happy to have her on our team!

Happy Work Anniversary to James Lyman! President, Matthew Barnett, has shared a few words about James below.

"James joined R&D as our Quality Manager five years ago, during his time here he has helped lead our AS9100 certification along with helping everyone here at R&D embrace quality at a whole new level. This is no small undertaking and James did it with professionalism and enthusiasm which saw us gain AS9100 certification with only minor findings. It has been a true pleasure having James as a team member here at R&D, as we move into the future and expand our push into NadCap and increased ITAR certification his role here will be even more critical to our continued success.

Rodney Wayne Roth,

It is with deep sadness that we advise of the passing of Rodney (Rod) Roth on March 25th, 2020 at the age of 77.
Rod had been fighting cancer for the past several years and passed away in his home with his wife Kim Alford and close friend and business partner, Sal Gonzalez by his side.
While Rod was one of the co-founders and company president of R&D Plastics, he treated his employees, customers, and suppliers more like family. He would always go out of his way to help anyone he could. He worked tirelessly to promote not only his company but also the plastics industry and was very supportive of the local community.
He was an extraordinary man and passionate about helping young people with an interest in plastics education or in the plastics industry. He helped set-up and fund 3 different scholarships in the Plastics Engineering program at Western Washington University in the names of his parents and himself.
He will long be missed and remembered. The business he co-founded in 1996 will continue to move forward and to honor his hard work, his vision, and his legacy.
