Dear Micro-Trains by Atlas Customer,

We hope you are as excited as we are about the recent Micro-Trains by Atlas announcements and shipments. Our team is working hard to bring production up to full speed while continuing to get new products into your hands as quickly as possible.

You may have noticed that we have not yet released an August edition of The Micro-News. As we continue to ramp up production, we have made the decision to focus our efforts on completing and shipping the June and July announced products before introducing another round of new items.

As a result, we will skip the August Micro-News and resume our regular announcements in September. This will give our production team additional time to get fully up to speed and help us maintain a more consistent schedule going forward. Stay tuned—we have plenty more to come!

The mission launched on April 1, 2026, carrying Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen. This collectible car commemorates this milestone in human spaceflight.

HO Scale Grit N' Grime 'ghosting' scheme: This factory-weathered model kit has been meticulously researched and digitally recreated to match protoype photos of BN 419256. Built in the late 1960s for the St. Louis-San Francisco Railway, known as the Frisco, this 2-bay covered hopper made its way to Burlington Northern in the 1980s...and after a few years in the sun and rain, the old Frisco scheme started showing through the faded Cascade Green paint.

Built in the early 1960s for the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe, these general-purpose flat cars were serviced in the early 1980s, and were often seen hauling Department of Defense components like military vehicles. Featuring a cushioned underframe, they were well suited to delicate handling of sensitive goods. An M1 Abrams tank, as depicted, weighs around 62 tons. These FT-29-class cars have a load limit of around 75 tons, allowing safe loading of one tank per car.

This Micro-Trains by Atlas 2-pack includes factory-weathered flat cars (along with unique weathered decks, complete with oil drips and tank track marks). Included in the box are two M1 Abrams main battle tank kits, molded in a realistic desert tan color. Perfect for any mid-1980s to 1990s consist!
