Hawaii Wood Art & Crafts Established in 2001 as a hobby byowner and founder Bernard Gomes. Island Woods & Crafts offers you authentic Hawaiian souvenirs that all have a story.

Bernard started practicing the art and lately has noticed that the Hawaiian Islands woods and crafts are becoming a lost art. Our souvenirs allow you to take home the islands. Our store is owned by a local Hawaiian craft maker who designs and makes Hawaiian souvenirs and crafts with wood from Hawaiian trees. Our work is handcrafted and reasonably priced. In addition to our store, we travel to area culture festivals that are held at various Hawaiian National Parks. The festivals feature crafts, food, and canoe rides. We are regulars at the Pu`ukohola Heiau National Park and have won awards from them for our demonstrations. At these festivals, we make ipu's (gourds), which are instruments and whistles, right in front of you. You will be able to take the instrument or whistle home with you as a souvenir from the culture festivals.
