A heartfelt MAHALO to the Hawaiian Style Café ʻowner and ohana for their generous support of the Crescent City Lions and Leos Food Drive held this past weekend at KTA Puainako. ❤️🦁🙏🏻

We are incredibly grateful for the generous donations from Hawaiian Style Café Waimea, Hawaiian Style Café Hilo, Wailoa Grill, as well as an additional personal donation.

Our Lions and Leos came together to collect food to help our Kaʻū community and others in need throughout Hawaiʻi Island.

Following Hurricane Lala, when we were gathering comments for the New York Times, the message from the Hawaiian Style Café ʻohana was to support Kaʻū and support Punaluʻu Bake Shop — reminding us how important it is to stand behind our neighbors and local businesses during difficult times.

They didn’t just say it — they followed through by giving.

We are truly grateful for their generosity and commitment to our island community.

That’s the Hawaiʻi we know — we take care of each other. ❤️🌺🦁
