Ray Makalous Thanks for sharing. I'm impressed by Washburn U's vision and grace! As the minister used to roar, "rather see a sermon lived than hear one preached!" Thanks My friend!

Zelma (Hurst) Henderson was the last surviving plaintiff in the landmark Supreme Court case Brown v. Board of Education. Much of that history is well known – when the new Washburn University School of Law building opens, it will feature a display prominently heralding the alumni lawyers and judges...

BusinessATTRACT Colleagues,

One of our efforts is to ensure that Joe and Jane Citizen(think of the picture American Gothic-honest hard working, ethical, backbone of our country generational transfer, in this case a Father and Daughter) can avail themselves of the tremendous largesse of our tri-level governmental centers, local, state federal.

This information will be shared with you because as a US Citizen or resident quite often there are resources that can help elevate our quality of life. I am increasingly convinced that it is in Our best interest to ensure that JJC continue to believe in and exhibit pursuit of the American Dream.

The Faith Based and Community Outreach of the Executive Branch holds a meeting each week in which citizens can attend and learn how to access programs and resources. What I find beneficial is the amount of programs, resources that are very seldom fully explained in media , that are available to us, is simply stunning! Like you, I am also increasingly aware that the need is great!

The attached email sent each week as a recap after each meeting, shows links or contact points for how to access this amazing amount of support for Joe and Jane Citizen.

We share this in the hopes that without any political agenda, merely a desire for greater access to the bounty that is Our great country, REGARDLESS of which party occupies the White House.

Please spread the word!

2019 Israeli Business and Industry Conference Overview

The 2019 Israeli Business and Industry Conference is a partnership initiated by the BusinessATTRACT Group, based in Hilton Head, South Carolina. The BusinessATTRACT group, consisting of key private citizens and influential organizations ,was founded by local citizen Carlton B. Dallas back in the winter of 2015. Partners include:

SouthernCarolina Regional Development Alliance; Beaufort County Economic Development Commission; University of South Carolina-Beaufort; Technical College of the Lowcountry; Hilton Head Island Realtors Association; The Don Ryan Center for Innovation; and the World Affairs Council of Hilton Head Island.

Mission: The mission of the conference is to attract investment from Israeli business and industry by creating a better understanding of the assets, business climate and quality of life in South Carolina that meet the requirements of advanced manufacturing and technology-centered Israeli companies considering location or expansion in the United States.

The goals we have set for the inaugural year of the conference include:

-Holding the conference in the First Quarter of 2019
-Offering nationally and internationally recognized speakers with expertise in: targeted industry sectors; U.S.-Israeli business relations; issues of interest to Israeli companies considering investment in the U.S., such as navigating the differences in business culture, legal issues, permitting, access to capital, financing, etc.; South Carolina’s business climate and tax advantages; quality of life in South Carolina
-Attracting attendees from several groups, including: Israeli companies with active projects considering the U.S.; Israeli companies with sales offices and/or distribution facilities in the U.S. which are considering manufacturing investment; Jewish business leaders located in the U.S. who are considering location or expansion in the Southeast; technology and academic leaders from Israel who are interested in business development; entrepreneurs seeking investment; and U.S. professionals with interest in the issues cited above.
-Establishing South Carolina as the preferred destination for Israeli investment.

Currently, the group has secured Sea Pines Plantation on Hilton Head Island as the location for the conference. Sea Pines, home to the world renowned Harbour Town golf course where The RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing Golf Tournament, a PGA tournament, is played will provide an intimate, world-class location for visitors.

Ambassador Ido Aharoni, Israel’s former Consul General (NYC), has been secured as our master of ceremonies. The Ambassador is assisting in securing our speakers and providing guidance on our program offerings and design. We will be working with the SC Dept. of Commerce, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and numerous Israeli/US business groups through Ambassador Aharoni.

In the next few weeks, we will set the date for the conference and begin sponsorship fundraising, branding, marketing and formulation of the agenda.
We welcome your support.
