Adult Summer Camp Near NYC…
I had the best time at Club Getaway 🌻 in Kent, CT! I grew up loving outdoor activities and have forever been social, and this was such a fun way to combine adulthood and being a kid at heart.
Even if summer camp wasn’t part of your childhood, or if outdoor activities aren’t currently part of your life, there is something for everyone during this weekend away.
Some Details:
🚆 Two hour train ride from Grand Central NYC to the Harlem Vally Wingdale Station where shuttles pick you up.
🚗 Parking is available if you drive from anywhere.
🏠 Cabin size/occupancy vary, but there are multiple options if you want to be solo, with friends, a significant other, are traveling solo and want to be paired with friends, etc.
🚿 There is a full bath in each cabin that you share just with who is in your room. (they provide bath towels to use, but not a hair dryer)
🥂 A cheers package is available for purchase to cover all of your drinks for the weekend: b**r, w**e & liquor, top shelf spirits, non-alcoholic beverages, Pub Hike access, Bloody Mary Bingo, & Paint N’ Sip access. (you can also pay as you go too)
🛶 Activities vary in times and days, and some include a signup sheet like for a boat ride, trip to town, etc. You also don’t need experience for any of the activities…there is someone that can teach you!
🍴 There were a variety of options during meals that included gluten free and vegan. There were sit down and buffet style meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
🪩 They have themed happy hours and events that vary per weekend, so make sure you check your schedule to be prepared!
🥾👙 You are in the woods and near a lake, so athleisure wear, comfortable shoes, bathing suit, flip flops, beach towel, bug spray, sunscreen, etc are key.
