For our first Tech Tip Tuesday, we’re taking a look at the GE Profile UltraFast Combo. Unlike a traditional dryer, this unit runs on 120 volts and doesn’t require an exterior vent. But there’s something important owners should know: ventless doesn’t mean maintenance-free!

These units require a little more maintenance than traditional dryers to keep them operating properly.

TECH TIP TUESDAY 🔧

Your washing machine hoses may look fine on the outside, but that doesn’t mean they’ll last forever.

Steel braided hot and cold water supply lines typically have a 3–5 year lifespan. Over time, seals can deteriorate and the lines can become a potential source of leaks and water damage.

Today’s JIC tech tip: don’t wait for a hose to fail before replacing it. If yours are approaching that 3–5 year mark, it’s a good time to have them checked and replaced.
