This amazing guy, Eric (pictured here!), has over 25 years of carpentry experience under his belt. He's also a dedicated member of the recovery community, actively rebuilding his life.

Inspired by his passion and dedication, Eric has launched Milk & Honey Restorations, a carpentry company with a heart. He offers high-quality carpentry services, and their mission extends far beyond beautiful builds. Milk & Honey Restorations is passionate about empowering individuals in recovery by providing supportive employment opportunities and carpentry apprenticeships.

My journey to Single Girl Sundays Matchmaking and hosting a charity bachelor auction might surprise you. It wasn't always sunshine and matchmaking; in fact, the scars of a decade-long, toxic relationship cast a long shadow on my life. Starting at sixteen, the man I dated chipped away at my confidence, isolated me from loved ones, and inflicted both physical and emotional abuse. Shame, guilt, and unworthiness became deeply ingrained, hindering my ability to trust and form healthy relationships. Dating, let alone building a business focused on love connections, seemed like a distant dream.

But survivors are wired for resilience. One day, the seed of an idea blossomed: a charity bachelor auction to empower single women like myself and support survivors of domestic violence. Excitement warred with crippling anxiety. What did I, a newbie entrepreneur, know about event planning? Fear threatened to suffocate the dream, whispering tales of isolation and inadequacy – echoes of my abuser's voice.

Yet, I took a leap of faith and walked into Ya Mas Greek Taverna & Bar in Salem, NH. The words stuck in my throat, anxiety a vice around my chest. The drive home was a near panic attack. Then, something shifted. Maybe it was the warmth of the setting sun, or the silent strength I knew resided within. I refused to let fear win.

This journey hasn't been a solo expedition. The moment I stepped outside my comfort zone, my community rallied. The team at Ya Mas offered their beautiful space, local businesses donated auction items, friends volunteered their time, and complete strangers reached out with words of encouragement. It was like magic, but not the sleight-of-hand kind. It was the magic of shared purpose, of a community recognizing a cause close to their hearts.

My story isn't unique. Many survivors carry emotional baggage from their past. But by sharing my experience, I hope to spark a connection with someone out there – someone who might feel alone, lost, or unsure if love is possible after abuse. It is. You are worthy, and you don't have to walk this path alone.
