We get Involved in some fun projects. This one is no exception. Their business was nearly destroyed by Hurricane Irma but they decided as a company and community to pull together to rebuild the city.

Many were left homeless and jobless after the hurricane and many were forced to leave.

But the Smugglers wouldn’t leave!

They’ve taken the wreckage from the hurricane and are using it to make boxes to ship their products. They partnered with local artisans to provide opportunities to community.

Team work makes the dream work!

No way! I’m blown away!

Thanks Mike England for the awesome gift. It was sitting at my office door the night after our big event — and your big day in Vegas.

I’m a very competitive person and my ego took a hit when I found out I lost your deal to the Las Vegas Golden Knights. But they are a worthy (and cool) competitor.

Congrats on your meeting with them last Wednesday. It was disappointing to have you miss the event but AWESOME you got the appointment with them! That’s big time and you deserve it.

Thanks a ton for the jersey and putting our inaugural event on it. We’re getting it framed for the office. You’ll have to stop by and sign it one day.

Congratulations to Lindsey Ivie and John Ivie for winning one of the dotCon Pitch Day’s Entreprenuer in Excellence Awards. It was a blast having Ivie league there to support the 47 startups who came and to see how your company helps them scale.

We didn’t have time at the event to recognize everyone who made the big day happen. So our cofounder Trip Hunter presented the award back a dot HQ.

A big thank you to the Inventors, Venture Capitalists, Angel Investors, and Guest Judges who came out yesterday to support our deals and the event!

Congratulations  to the entrepreneurs who made it happen yesterday!!

There were many in the room working with investors, creating strategic partnerships, and referring each other business.

90% of success is just showing up. For many it took all the courage you had to step up on stage and share your vision with everyone. It’s our goal to make that process easier for you by having us (me and the team at dot) there to walk you through it.

And we don’t use Sharks. We have Whales! They’re not in a rush to chomp on everything, they’re patient, willing to offer advice, and Whales can eat Sharks! 🙂

look who’s coming Wednesday to review Pitches!! We’ve lined up some startup investment experts to be on hand and provide feedback, advice, and resources.

Adam Nugent is the Founder of Foresight Wealth Management. He’s also recently invested in fintech, h**p grows, real estate, and a magazine he’s launching.

Danijella Dragas is my secret weapon for many deals. She’s great a finance and loves getting startups running.

She’s is also responsible for lining up 11 banks to fund the new $2B Las Vegas Raiders New NFL stadium. (The deal has take almost 10 years to finalize). She’s also been part of Romney’s team over the last decade.

She’s currently in the UK working on a major MLS Soccer deal. If the deal closes in time she will be at the event this Wednesday. (She tentative).

We have several other guest judges, investors, and advisors coming.

I’m pleased to announce David Ashby of Americans’s Serving Americans is coming to speak and at our event on Nov 28th.

And he’s well known for delivering big checks to entrepreneurs!

He’s the founder of a grass roots movement that aims to end poverty and provide Entrepreneurs with the resources and funding they need.

He has a very unique method for raising tens of thousands of dollars each weekend for entrepreneurs and/or local communities. He’s also creating hundred of jobs across the USA.
