Keeping personal items off the table creates a more pleasant space for the meal and shows consideration for everyone dining with you.

Parents, when was the last time you truly spent quality time with your child without a phone, tablet, television, or other device competing for your attention? ❤️
Children may enjoy the things we give them, but one of the greatest gifts we can give them is our undivided attention. To a child, TIME often feels like LOVE. It says, “You matter. I see you. I enjoy being with you.”
Put the devices away for a while. Talk. Laugh. Cook together. Take a walk. Play a game. Listen to their stories. Create memories.
Because one day, they may not remember what was on the screen, but they will remember who made time for them. ❤️

Plot twist: your knife and fork are gossiping with your server. 👀

They’re quietly saying:
“Still eating.”
“I’m taking a break.”
“I’m finished.”

Dining with confidence : business lunches, holiday dinners, everything in between. 🍽️

• Napkin in your lap
• Utensils: outside in
• Break bread, don't cut it
• Four o'clock = finished
• Keep conversation light

Etiquette isn't perfection : it's making everyone at the table comfortable.

Which dining situation do you want to feel more confident in?

🎒 A successful school year is about more than books and backpacks.

Children also need the social skills to:
• Greet teachers and classmates with confidence
• Listen when others are speaking
• Take turns and share
• Ask for help respectfully
• Show kindness and consideration

The best place to practice? Right at home. Small, daily moments help children walk into the classroom with confidence and self-respect.

At Higher Expectations, our Youth Etiquette Workshops help children become the best version of themselves : shining stars in their classrooms and communities. ✨

Chivalry isn't dead , it's being taught. ✨

Holding the door. Offering a seat. Saying "please" and "thank you."

Good manners build confidence, character, and respect. Every courteous moment is a teaching moment.

What act of courtesy are you teaching your child this week?
