What if the price isn’t the part you’re actually afraid of? 😳

Sometimes we say, “I don’t know what to charge.” But underneath that, there can be a completely different question: “Am I really allowed to charge that much for something God gave me?”

Ooooh. There it is. 😂

I think this gets especially complicated for believers because generosity, service, ministry, and business can get tangled together in our heads. We genuinely want to help people, and sometimes that makes us uncomfortable attaching a price to something that comes naturally to us.

But think about it. We’ll happily pay an attorney for wisdom they spent years developing. We’ll pay a consultant because they can solve in two hours what might take us six months to figure out. We’ll pay an expert because they can see something we can’t.

The value isn’t simply in how long it takes someone to deliver something. It’s in what they know, what they can see, the experience they bring, and the transformation their expertise can help create.

So maybe the question isn’t simply, “What should I charge?”

Maybe the better question is: “Do I believe what I carry creates enough value that someone would gladly invest in receiving it?” 🤔

Because if you don’t believe in the value yourself, pricing will always feel uncomfortable.

And THAT might be the real issue hiding underneath the price tag.

😱Comparison can make you abandon what was actually working.

You can be completely clear about what God gave you…until you spend 20 minutes watching what everybody else is doing. 😆

Suddenly their business model looks better. Their offer sounds smarter. Their content gets more engagement. They’re launching differently. They’re using a strategy you’ve never heard of.

And now the thing you were excited about yesterday somehow feels inadequate today.

I’ve noticed this happens a lot in business because we have access to everybody’s everything. We can see their launches, their numbers, their funnels, their AI tools, their offers and their highlight reels all day long.

There’s nothing wrong with learning from people. I do it too.

But somebody else’s strategy can be brilliant and still not be your strategy.

Sometimes the next thing you need isn’t another idea. It’s enough confidence to stay with the idea you already have long enough to see what it can become.

That doesn’t mean we never adjust. Business requires feedback, testing and change. But there’s a difference between making an informed adjustment and abandoning direction every time somebody shiny walks across your screen. 😂

Maybe part of maturity in business is learning to say, “That’s great for them. But that’s not what I’m building.”

🌟You Don’t Have to Hustle When You Know How to Be Led 👑

There’s a difference between working hard and hustling from a place of pressure. I believe in work. I believe in discipline, consistency, excellence, learning, making decisions, and actually executing what God puts in your hands.

But I don’t believe we were created to build businesses constantly afraid that if we slow down for five minutes, everything will fall apart. That’s not diligence. That’s pressure.

As Spirit-led entrepreneurs, we have access to something the world’s business systems can’t manufacture:

The leading of God.

Sometimes His leading will tell you to move quickly. Sometimes it will tell you to wait. Sometimes it will lead you toward an opportunity that makes absolutely no sense on paper. And sometimes it will tell you no when everyone around you is saying, “You’d be crazy not to do this.”

Being led doesn’t mean being passive. It means our activity comes from direction instead of desperation.

We still build the funnel, make the offer, send the email, have the sales conversation, study the numbers, and do the work. But we’re not trying to force an outcome God never asked us to manufacture.

There is tremendous freedom in being able to say:

“I don’t have to chase everything. I only have to be faithful to what God is leading me to do.”

That changes the way you build. It changes the way you make decisions. And it certainly changes the way you define success.

What If It’s Not Just an Idea?

Have you ever had an idea that just keeps coming back?

You pray about other things, get busy with life, put it on the shelf…and somehow, there it is again.

Maybe it’s a business idea. Maybe it’s something you could teach, create, coach, consult on, or provide for someone else. But because it doesn’t look like what you’ve traditionally called “ministry,” you haven’t really known what to do with it.

I think sometimes, as believers, we’re waiting for God to make something feel spiritual enough before we give ourselves permission to build it.

But what if the idea isn’t competing with your calling?

What if it’s one expression of it?

God has given you experiences, knowledge, gifts, relationships, creativity and wisdom. Even some of the things you learned the hard way have value because now you can help someone else get where they’re going faster.

And creating something that genuinely helps another person while also generating income doesn’t make it less meaningful or less Kingdom.

Sometimes stewardship looks like preaching. Sometimes it looks like serving. Sometimes it looks like writing a book, starting a company, solving a problem, creating an offer or bringing an idea into the marketplace.

And yes, sometimes it looks like building something valuable and having the courage to charge for it.

Now, that doesn’t mean every idea is an assignment. Some ideas really are just ideas. 😂 But I wonder how many God-breathed possibilities have been sitting dormant because we never considered that our calling might have an expression in the marketplace too.

So I’m curious…

📖🙏🏻 Sunday Devotional Edition: Build From Rest

Some of you are trying to force clarity that God wants to give you from a place of rest.

We live in a culture that rewards urgency.

Move faster.
Do more.
Post more.
Launch now.
Don’t lose momentum.

And that pressure can show up in every area of life — business, ministry, major decisions, and even the building blocks of what comes next.

But Kingdom stewardship does not always look like constant motion.

Sometimes wisdom looks like slowing down long enough to hear what God is actually saying.

Psalm 127:1 says:

“Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.”

That verse has been sitting with me differently lately.

Because it doesn’t say, don’t build.

It says, make sure you’re building with Him.

There is a big difference between being busy and being led.

You can work hard on the wrong thing.
You can force a decision before peace is there.
You can keep adding strategies, responsibilities, and assignments when what you really need is clarity, grace, and direction.

Whether you are building a business, serving in ministry, making a life decision, or trying to discern your next step, everything flows better when it comes from rest.

Sunday is a good reminder that rest is not wasted time.

Rest can be where alignment happens.
Where motives get purified.
Where pressure lifts.
Where wisdom becomes clear.
Where God shows you what actually matters in this season.

So before you think about everything you need to produce, fix, build, or figure out this week, maybe ask:

“Lord, what are You building in me, and what are You building through me right now?”

Then give yourself permission to be still long enough to listen.

You may not be waiting on God. You may be waiting on yourself.

There’s a strange place we can get stuck when we genuinely want to be obedient.

We pray. We listen. We ask for confirmation. Then we ask for confirmation of the confirmation. 😄

And somewhere along the way, discernment quietly turns into delay.

Especially when the thing in front of us involves business.

Because launching the offer, naming the price, putting ourselves out there, or saying, “Yes, I believe I can help people with this,” suddenly feels much more vulnerable than receiving the idea in prayer.

Sometimes we already have enough clarity for the next move.

What we don’t have is a guarantee.

And faith has never required one.

Maybe the question isn’t, “Has God shown me the entire plan?”

Maybe it’s, “What do I already know that I haven’t acted on yet?”

💡🤔 What if the idea you keep calling “too small” is actually something God expects you to steward?

Sometimes we dismiss an idea because it doesn’t look impressive enough.

It’s not a huge vision.
It doesn’t require a giant team.

Nobody is going to write a prophetic song about it. 😂

It’s simply something you know how to do that could genuinely help someone.

And because it feels almost too practical, we hesitate to call it part of our calling.

But I wonder how many businesses begin exactly there.

Not with, “God told me to build a company.”

But with…

“I know how to solve that.”

“I could make this easier for them.”

“People keep asking me for help with this.”

“I’ve thought about creating something around that for years.”

Calling doesn’t always arrive looking like a business opportunity.

Sometimes it arrives looking like a problem you’ve been equipped to solve.

And maybe stewardship begins by taking that seriously.

So I’m curious…
