Meet Andrea Mayhew, Graphic Designer at John P. O'Sullivan Distributing, Inc.

📅 How long have you been with your company?
16 years

🚛 How did you get started in this industry?
I went to college for Graphic Design and knew a few people already in the beverage industry, so I applied, and the rest is history!

⚡ What’s one project or accomplishment you’re most proud of?
The biggest accomplishment I'm most proud of in my job has to be how much I've matured and excelled personally since I started in 2010. The amount of work has grown due to the addition of more territories along with brands, especially Yuengling, our newest, which we're very excited to have! The work has been abundant, but we're able to bust out quality work along with quick turnaround to get our media out into the market to advertise our products.

✨ Favorite thing about working in beer and wine distribution?
My favorite thing about working in the beer and wine distribution industry is how fun it is! I've been able to participate in many events such as hockey, baseball, and football games. I love trying all the new beverages, along with turning my friends onto them. Being with John P. O'Sullivan for 16 years hasn't felt like a job but more like a second home with family. I'm proud to say this year our company will be celebrating 50 years in the business!

We are wrapping up a great Women’s History Month by putting the spotlight on Kristina Zieroff, Account Manager at John P. O'Sullivan Distributing, Inc.

📅 How long have you been with your company?
2.5 years

🚛 How did you get started in this industry?
I got started in the beverage industry in California, where I sold wine for 16 years.

⚡ What’s one project or accomplishment you’re most proud of?
I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve built throughout my career and how some of my customers and vendors have become lifelong friends. I truly believe it is the most Important aspect of this job.

✨ Favorite thing about working in beer and wine distribution?
In addition to building relationships, I love helping people find the right products to offer to their customers. If a product isn’t working, it’s nice to have the ability to offer something new that might work better. I also love helping customers grow their business with new marketing ideas and signage. It is a fun industry to be working in, and every day is different.

🍺🍷 What’s your current go-to beverage?
It’s so hard to pick just one with so many great options, but currently it’s Yuengling Flight and Long Drink Sugar Free Pineapple.

Meet Jessica Smith, Front Desk Receptionist at John P. O'Sullivan Distributing, Inc.

📅 How long have you been with your company?
1 year

🚛 How did you get started in this industry?
I started as a waitress, then became a bartender, next moving into operations as a shift lead. Next, I started at a hops farm, quickly moving to operations and management there. Now I work using my 25 years of experience at a distribution center as the front desk receptionist.

⚡ What’s one project or accomplishment you’re most proud of?
I am proud to be the welcoming face and to help keep communications flowing between drivers, sales reps, management, and customers. This ensures everyone is happy and things run smoother and more efficiently.

✨ Favorite thing about working in beer and wine distribution?
Breaking barriers, building lasting relationships, and helping shape a more inclusive and welcoming culture in a traditionally male-dominated field.
