Moldavite is a form a Tektite that formed when a giant meteorite struck the earth in southern Germany nearly 15 million years ago. The velocity and heat of the impact caused the target rock to break into pieces and splatter melted fragments throughout regions of Southern Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic. The splatter quickly vaporized, condensed into a molten liquid then solidified into pieces of glass, trapping gases within the glass allowing no time for mineral crystals to form. Its extraterrestrial matter essentially combined with rock from the Earth.
Moldavite has been used since the Stone Age as an amulet for good fortune and fertility. It has an extremely high vibration that can amplify the effect of other crystals it is near. This post was posted and deleted because I needed to revise the caption before anybody got a chance to see it.

This post was sent to me by an amazing human being that I met a couple of years ago through social media.

I met Ivis online and we quickly became friends and chatted away almost every day through direct message. We eventually connected through our love of horror as she was a very talented prosthetics artist that recreated horror props for movies, museums etc.

Ivis and her husband lived on summerdale avenue in islamorada Florida for many many years and had finally sold their place and was so excited to finally live out her dream of moving out of Florida into a historic home in Georgia.

She was such a homemaker, cook, and had a love for renovations. She was so excited to place an order for some of my crystals to place in her new historic home to which she said she would be gifting them to the spirits of the home which made me so excited! This was back in September.

Well, as life continues and the algorithm sometimes hides peoples posts, I started to notice her posts slowly fading away…

Today, for some reason I decided to post this (even tho my packaging has changed) and when I tagged her, I went over to send her a message and noticed her profile wasn’t updated since September 2021. As I look up in her profile I see a GoFundMe link and of course I click the link to appease my curiosity and that is when I found out.

Not only has Ivis passed away due to Covid but her husband did as well just a few days before her. Ivis was a wonderful human being and one of my dear online friends and her and her husband Rudy have left behind an amazing young boy Lazaroto and an amazing young woman and I am so deeply hurt by this I cannot believe I would hurt over a total stranger but then again she really wasn’t a stranger.

My heart goes out to your family Ivis. The world has truly lost an amazing soul, but heaven has gained an angel.

Today I mourn you even tho, it was months ago already. I feel this one in my heart….

Ivis. You will be missed. 😞

Quick Note to makers everywhere….

After a few years in Business (5) I have come to a few realizations….

1- follower count does not equal sales
2-consistency is key
3-honesty is the most important
4-if someone unfollowed you it’s OK, they weren’t meant to be a part of your journey.
5-your art is not for everybody and that’s OK.
6-The algorithm sucks
7-showing your face in front of your brand is giving your brand an identity.
8-Quality over quantity ALWAYS
9-knowing when to take a break is important and will not hurt your business.
10-Have fun!!!

It is very easy to fall into the rabbit hole of algorithm and likes. It happens to the best of us. But don’t let it consume you. Those that appreciate your work will follow you and truly love what you do and those that don’t won’t and you don’t need them there anyway.

Some people are just watching your every move waiting to make theirs!

Always stay true to yourself and your brand because it shows!

Remember why you started this journey to begin with and if for whatever reason you find yourself feeling like it’s more work than play, go back to the basics. Go back to what inspired you to begin with. Take that break to recharge and re-focus on your craft and building your business for success because all that
outside noise is just that. Noise.

And probably one of the most important things I’ve come to realize is that breaks are essential to handmade businesses. Some of my best work has come from taking breaks. We can get caught up in the fast life and trying to be like engines running a ship but we must remember that our brains need rest to recharge and to refresh with new ideas. Trust me on this one. Burn out is real and can even drive you to hate your work so take it easy on yourselves and most importantly

HAVE FUN!
