(10:30PM Tue, Jan 24th 2023) Tuesday night update regarding a winter storm that will continue to affect the state through Wednesday evening, bringing light to moderate accumulating snowfall to much of Illinois. With this update we have increased expected snowfall totals a bit over portions of Southern Illinois, as confidence grows in the expected outcome.

•Tonight - Wednesday evening, Jan 24-25th: Much of Illinois.
Impacts...
•A winter storm is expected to bring periods of snow to the state, tonight through Wednesday evening, Jan 24-25th. Mixed precip is expected across Southern Illinois.
•Snowfall accumulation will range from upwards of a 1-3" to 4-7", from north to south across the state. Locally higher snowfall amounts will be possible in the heaviest snowfall axis.
•Travel will be impacted, especially across the southern half of the state where highest snowfall accumulation will occur.
