🚨 The U.S. Supreme Court has declined to hear a challenge to Alaska's management of the Upper Cook Inlet salmon fishery.

For commercial fishermen in the region, the decision marks the end of a years long legal effort to challenge regulations they argue have significantly reduced commercial fishing opportunities.

Supporters of the lawsuit say commercial harvesters have been unfairly restricted. State courts disagreed, ruling that Alaska's management approach does not violate federal law.

With the case now effectively closed, the conversation surrounding salmon allocation, fishery access, and the future of Cook Inlet's commercial fleet is likely to continue.
