Position Summary
We currently have a great opportunity for an Automotive Claims Adjuster!
Automotive Claims Adjuster
The Warranty Group is currently seeking an Automotive Claims Adjuster to join our rapidly growing team! The purpose of this position is to investigate, negotiate, and adjudicate mechanical claims, applying technical knowledge to effect fair and prompt claims authorization and to contribute to a reduced loss ratio.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Handle a high volume of claim traffic which will be a combination of mechanical claims submitted electronically, and by phone.
Verify Service Contract coverage and validate repair being performed.
Verify part and labor charges as requested by the repair facility.
Apply adjustments as required to part pricing MSRP, labor to a Nationally Recognized Labor Time Guide, and Client reimbursement guidelines.
Further question or investigate any parts and/or labor discrepancies in order to agree on coverage or on the amount to be reimbursed.
Resolve inquiries from Repair facilities and Agreement Holders regarding the claim and/or payment status.
Review inspection reports and photos to further determine claim liability.
Assist with other responsibilities as directed.
Required Skills & Experience
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma
ASE or Manufacturer certifications preferred
Automotive Technical degree OR equivalent combination of technical knowledge and work experience.
Must be able to type at least 20 WPM and Basic PC skills
Good customer service skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Hands on Experience in dealership or repair facility
