"With the Election Over, What Really Matters for Investors?"
Now that the election is behind us, the market is responding well, possibly due to clarity on policy directions. But elections come and go, and in investing, there’s a steadier signal worth watching: earnings and dividends.
Think of it this way: if you owned a great company outright—say, Amazon, Apple, or Walmart—would you sell it because of an election outcome, interest rate changes, or other events? Likely not, because you’d trust in its ongoing earnings power.
Stocks represent real business ownership, and for long-term investors, focusing on the steady growth of earnings and dividends can be much more rewarding than reacting to political changes.
In the end, concentrating on the performance of these companies rather than fluctuating stock prices could lead to success over time. Let’s stay focused on what truly drives value—no matter the political landscape.
