At the young age of 13 Joe began his childhood dream of becoming a professional taxidermist. Spending many hours after school, often late into the night, Joe worked as an apprentice at a taxidermy studio in his neighborhood. With a determination to produce higher quality taxidermy, with genuine realism, Joe founded Realistic Taxidermy in 1985. In 1992 Realistic Taxidermy moved from a small locatio

n in San Antonio to Castroville, TX. With the help of our growing clientele, eager to receive the highest quality taxidermy, Joe excited to break ground on a new facility in 2013. July 1st brought the beginning of Realistic Taxidermy’s new location; just 5 minutes West on Hwy 90 at CR 454, in Dunlay Texas. After 28 years, Joe and his team of artists continue their obligation to provide high quality taxidermy and realism for your trophy.
