How To: Craft your perfect business name...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌊Consider broad attributes:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
While “professional” and “serious” names may be forgettable, a too silly business name can lead to not being taken seriously. Try to land somewhere in the middle that represents you, not just in this moment, but also what your business aspires to be in the future. If that’s silly, then go for it!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌊 Research similar businesses:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This can help with inspiration as well as help make sure you're able to stand out in your niche. Notice phrasing at the feeling it elicits in you (authoritative, caring, relatable, etc.). How do you want people to feel about your business?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌊 Consider names that easily identify your main service/function:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Consider what someone might google that could lead them to your business. What terms and phrases are most likely to be searched most often? Think broadly (i.e. use the terms that most people will use) This will do wonders for your search engine optimization (SEO).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌊 Spend some time with URLs:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If your URL is taken, consider a new name. That may seem drastic, but for most businesses, your URL is basically your business. You want potential clients to easily be able to find you and not accidentally end up on someone else's page. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌊Look at your state’s business registration and make sure trade name is available:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The last thing you want is to settle on a new name and realize it's been taken! Do your homework ahead of time and make sure your name is all yours where it (legally) matters. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
