Dante's Drinks Does anyone use FB anymore? Hit the "About" section for real stuff. Hi, I'm Dante. I'm a picky restaurant consultant here in the Bay Area of California.

A little bit about me:

As a child growing up, I worked in kitchens helping out my father who was an executive chef and owner at different restaurants. My love for all things food and drinks were taken to a new level when in 2010 I decided to start a small batch coffee roasting company with a friend. This was truly an eye-opening experience for me as I got to see first hand how to create a produc

t from start to finish and get feedback from customers daily. A few years later, I launched Tapisto, a digital agency for restaurants, coffee shops and other small businesses. We began with a local footprint, servicing companies in San Jose and the Bay Area but by 2013, we had clients in Australia, Singapore and Mexico. Years later I joined a restaurant group in San Jose. Over the course of 4 years, we opened multiple locations, ran a successful catering company, created a product line of seasonings, and collaborated with hundreds of local businesses. I was fortunate enough to spend 2 years tending bar as well as creating and running the beverage program for our wine bar. This gave me great insight into the Craft Beer, Wine & Spirits and overall beverage industry. That leads me here. Immediately after selling the restaurant group, I knew I wanted to get into consulting. Not just because I thought it was a good fit for me personally but because I saw a huge opportunity to help other new restaurant and bar owners avoid the same mistakes I made when working in the food and beverage industry. Dante's Drinks is the culmination of a life spent in the food and beverage industry. I'm here to lend my expertise to upstart restaurants and individuals. (please see the Services Page)

Central Valley Friends and Fam! Come out June 13th and show some love. Me and my teammates will be in town cooking up a storm at Famous Dave’s for a pretty serious cooking competition.

We’ll be competing in the Ribs, Chicken, and Wild Card rounds as well as the People’s Choice Wing Competition! (that’s where YOU get to vote).

Well. I’m not good at posts like this, but in order to give the proper IG props, it needed to be done. 🤷‍♂️ (sorry, long read coming)

3-4 weeks ago, and (the big dawgs on my MACBBQ team) called me and asked me to compete in a Noodle/Rice competition at our upcoming BBQ competition event in Hawaii.
I said no.

The story WOULD end there, but obviously, it doesn’t. Chris and John insisted I enter the competition. I said no way. We talked. I said no. The call was dragging on. I still said no.

Finally, they told me. “We already entered into the competition, somebody’s making pasta. It’s gonna be you.” 🤦‍♂️

Honestly, I was kinda shook. Who the hell does that? They’ve maybe had my pasta a couple times. Maybe. Why are they putting this on me? They told me, “the winner gets a golden ticket to the World Food Championships and we wanna go…you got this.”

That’s it. “YOU GOT THIS”. That’s what I had to work with. “What do I make?” I asked. “Pasta” they said. Huh? Either these guys trust me unconditionally, or this is the ultimate troll job and I’m being set up for some kinda prank. Gotta be.

Well, fast forward to the competition last Saturday. I won. WE won. MACBBQ WON.

FIRST PLACE. Not just that, we got a perfect score. PERFECT. Unbeknownst to me, thats not easy to do. Go ahead, look it up. I was surprised too.

These as****es forced me to make pasta, and now, well, now we have to make more pasta. 😳 Because we won, we’re headed to the World Food Championships in Indianapolis in October to compete in the Noodle Competition. It’s no joke.

Why the post? Partially to explain why you may see even MORE pasta content in the next few months. (sorry). But mostly so I can thank everyone that helped us win this thing. (THANKS ARE IN THE COMMENTS)

Anyone else love these bottle baskets from ? Each of the single village mezcals that Del Maguey offers comes with a unique basket.

Found this online;

* Since 1995 Del Maguey has been collaborating with a traditional Zapotec women's weaver group, crafting unique hand-woven covers for our original line up of Single Village Mezcals; Chichicapa, Minero, San Luis del Rio, Santo Domingo Albarradas, and Tobala.

* Each of the ancient Zapotec or Mixtec origin basket designs are inspired by the flowers, ceramics, landscapes or architectural elements of Oaxaca.

* Each basket is made from natural palm and natural colorants.

Industry family! We’ve got something special cooking for ya after the Turkey weekend madness.

We've got drink specials, giveaways, and plenty of grub from the homies at Real Del Valle Tequila, Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey, Fistful of Bourbon, Sipsmith Gin and Toki Japanese Whisky.

Current Menu is looking like this:

All this to help you celebrate Thanksgiving with your fellow industry folks and relax a lil after the long weekend.
