I know its bad timing with all the news of fundraiser scams after the fires on Maui. But this fundraiser is for a specific case and for a specific family we helped a month prior to the fires. We recently assisted a family with a missing person from Alaska, who we will call Atka. We were able to locate Atka We took care of some of Atka's court fees, got him cleaned up and got him on a plane back to his family in Alaska. We paid for Atka's airfare from Honolulu to Alaska. We later found out that Atka's family is unable to pay for Atka's expenses.

Our fundraiser goal is the amount of the expenses for Atka to return home. However, depending on the response, we are considering utilizing funds received over the goal amount to go towards other missing persons cases we are continuing efforts on.
