Hawaii Living
I have always found the outrigger canoe paddles beautiful. I grew up seeing them in most of my friends homes, hanging on their walls like art.

I have developed a desire to collect them. The few I have, are in constant use, so they don't have time to be admired on my walls.

But I think I prefer to see them at the beach with all my friends as we take them to adventure in the ocean.

Wishing for sunshine, and many new adventures! Go out there and live your dreams!

Story behind the photo...I woke up to rain and it was feeling too cold to leave the warmth of my bed.

I hit the snooze button a few too many times. What I thought was ten minutes turned out to be forty minutes. Adrenaline was great to get myself moving and miraculously ready in a flash.

A few moments later, I found myself at the beach in time to capture the amazing moments before sunrise. I have hundreds of photos of the sunrise and each is uniquely different and exquisite.

The rain stopped and I was blessed to enjoy a gorgeous morning on the water with wonderful friends. There were also two rainbows that morning, I didn't take any pictures of it, but I was truly happy to see it, streams of color across the sky. I am smiling just thinking about it.

Life is precious, fill yours with joy. Smile for your day :-)

Story behind the photo...I was standing in the rain at my son's paddling practice having a great conversation with another coach, and was surprised with a spontaneous invite for dinner.

The thought of having someone else cook, lovely, especially as I was exhausted by the events of the day. My boys had a fridge full of yummy leftovers, so I knew they would not starve if I left them for the evening. As I didn't have an early star the next morning, a night out was totally doable.

Dinner was delicious and a second stop for ice cream, almost guilt free ;-)

Life is sweet, enjoy the moments. Be grateful for the wonderful people in your life and smile as much as you can. Our journeys aren't always easy, but rewards of friendship and joy are all around you. Be brave and choose to be happy.
