Off the Map Consulting Grant research, consulting, writing and evaluation. Why Alaska and Hawaii? If you lived in either place, you know we have a lot in common.

My focus is on helping rural nonprofits--especially in Alaska and Hawaii--find financial support to pursue their mission-driven projects. We're "off the map" in literal and figurative ways. We have strong local and Native cultures; we face unique transportation, infrastructure, and natural phenomena; and, we're proud of the creative solutions we develop. I've worked as a grant writer and grant man

ager in higher education and in social service settings. I've also done a lot of pro bono grant editing for friends in nonprofits of all sizes. I've successfully applied for grants in the hundreds of dollars, as well as grants of over a million dollars. I've worked with federal, state, foundation and local grants. It's not the size of the award that matters to me--it's the way in which the award allows an organization to blossom and to fulfill its mission.
