Most people ask us for a multi-zone mini-split for the same reason: they don't want three condensers sitting along the side of the house. 🏡

Fair. But here's the trade-off nobody mentions in the showroom. When one outdoor unit is sized for several small rooms and only one of those rooms is actually calling for heat, the system can't run at a low enough speed to keep up with itself. It cycles on and off instead of running steady. You lose comfort, you lose humidity control, and you put extra wear on equipment you just paid for.

That doesn't mean multi-zone is wrong. Grouped bedrooms in a compact Cape, similar schedules, limited exterior space, it's often the better call. It means the grouping has to be designed, not assumed.

💧 PFAS in your well water? Test first, then choose a filter.

🏡 If your New Hampshire home runs on a private well, PFAS testing and treatment are your responsibility, not a utility's. And here's the tricky part: you can't see, taste, or smell these "forever chemicals."

🧪 Start with a certified lab test. It tells you which PFAS compounds are present, at what levels, and whether iron, manganese, hardness, or radon are also in play, all of which affect how well a PFAS filter actually performs. (Store-bought DIY kits won't cut it, and they don't qualify for rebate paperwork. ❌)

🚿 Whole-house or under-sink? That's the next big decision and sometimes the right answer is both. Whole-house RO, on the other hand, is usually more complicated than homeowners expect: it wastes a lot of water, can overload a septic system, and makes water more corrosive to plumbing. ⚠️
