Crews are working between Mile Marker 3.3 to 0 to Willow Creek as restoration work continues.

📍NTIA Project
Crews will be working in the easements off Bloody Camp Road and along Pine Creek Road.

With the solar brackets in place, crews are now installing solar panels at the Data Center. Solar energy will help support efficient, resilient power for the facility.

This newly constructed Data Center will play a key role in supporting the network infrastructure behind Fiber-to-the-Home service, helping bring reliable internet to the Hoopa Valley Indian Reservation and surrounding areas.

🚨 Announcement: The grant-funded Fiber-to-the-Home buildout has been extended to help ensure all homes and businesses have the opportunity to be included before construction wraps up.

Crews are continuing to install fiber directly from the main line to homes and businesses. The extension also allows additional time to complete installation work tied to scheduling coordination and ongoing infrastructure work related to the Deer Horn Communication Tower.

If you’ve signed your SLA and have an appointment scheduled, please do your best to keep your appointment. Crews, equipment, and installation schedules are coordinated in advance each day, and missed appointments can delay progress.

If you have not signed up yet, it’s not too late! Now is still the time to get connected while the grant-funded installation window is extended.

Crews will be working this week between Mile Post 9.5 and Mile Post 5.5, completing restoration work.

Next week, crews are scheduled to work between Mile Post 13.5 and Mile Post 15.5 for handhole placement, and between Mile Post 6 and Mile Post 4 for restoration work.

📍NTIA Project
Crews will be working in the following locations this week and next week:
- Bloody Camp Rd
- Timberridge Ct
- Pinecreek Rd (south of Mooin Ln)
- Moon Ln (South of Pine Creek Rd)

Installation Appointment Reminder 📢 If you’ve signed your Service Line Agreement (SLA) and scheduled a Fiber-to-the-Home installation appointment, please take a moment to confirm your appointment date and time.

Crews, equipment, and daily installation schedules are coordinated in advance. Keeping scheduled appointments helps construction continue efficiently and helps ensure more homes can be connected during the grant-funded buildout.

If you need to reschedule, please notify crews as early as possible so adjustments can be made to the schedule.

📸 Pic of the Week: PON Cabinet Installation

Pictured is the first of four PON (Passive Optical Network) Cabinets that will be installed to support Fiber-to-the-Home service! This cabinet will serve the Marshall Lane area, with additional cabinets planned for Soctish, Campbell, and Tish Tang.

These cabinets are an important part of the infrastructure needed to support fiber connectivity and mark another step forward as the project continues!

As of April, crews have installed 81,280 feet of underground conduit, including bridgework — that’s more than 15 miles — along with 239 vaults. The project is now 65% complete, with less than 300 feet left to install underground!

Glass Roots Construction and its contractors are also gearing up to begin the aerial installation portion of SB156.

Each month of progress moves the project closer to connecting with regional middle-mile infrastructure and expanding reliable, high-speed internet access across the region.

📍SB156 Project -- Crews will be working between MM 13.5 and MM 9.3 the rest of this week and next week.

📍NTIA Project -- Crews will be working in the following locations this week and next week:
- Pine Creek, from Hwy 96 south to Willow Ln
- Trinity River Hwy, from Shoemaker Rd south
- Shoemaker Rd, from Hwy 96 south to just south of Telescope Park Rd
- Maltiton Rd

Please be cautious when passing through active construction zones and expect possible delays of up to 15 minutes.

🚧 Construction Update: Scheduled Work for the Week of 5/18

Cannon and its subcontractor are scheduled to install power cable and fiber on Tish Tang Rd as part of the NTIA project, bringing power and fiber to the Jones Point Communication Tower.

Planned Schedule:
📍5/18–5/20: Power cable installation by Atheon Communications
📍5/21–5/22: Fiber cable installation by AMG

Adequate traffic control is expected to be in place during this work. Please drive cautiously through active construction areas and allow extra time for possible delays. Thank you for your continued patience and support as work progresses.

Roof-mounted solar brackets have been installed at the Data Center to support a future solar array, helping offset energy costs, strengthen energy resiliency, and ensure reliable uptime for our network!
