This is my friend Yaw Kwarteng. He’s a farmer from rural Ghana that I had the privilege of serving. I’ve been meaning to share his story for a while because of how profound of an impact he had on me. He had not been able to see for approx. 20 years. After his surgery he scored a perfect 20/20 vision score. This after only being able to perceive light from hand movements six inches from his face (HM). I had thought I knew what struggle was until I put my self in his shoes. I thought I knew what praise was until his bandages were lifted and I heard his words. Tears ran down his face and although I don’t speak Sefwi, I clearly understood his praise of God and Jesus Christ. My problems don’t seem as big anymore after meeting Yaw. I don’t think I’ll ever see him again but I’m grateful for his impact on my perspective and faith. 🙏
