🎉 Another year, another Hope Heritage Festival!

A big thank you to Tom Lorson for helping keep Phillips Seed Farms involved in this great event year after year.

The Hope Heritage Festival is a celebration of everything that makes small-town Kansas special: a rich history, strong community pride, and the people who work hard to keep those traditions alive. 🌽 A couple of standout corn hybrids from a dryland plot near Hays, Kansas.

The first photo features PS1372 TRE, a hybrid with broad geographic adaptability that continues to perform well across a wide range of environments. Whether it's dryland or irrigated acres, PS1372 TRE has shown the consistency growers are looking for.

The second and third photos feature PS1526 VPR. The more we learn about this hybrid, the more we feel it was made for Kansas. It has demonstrated excellent performance across a variety of conditions and continues to impress in our plots and customers' fields.

🌾 6504R Milo Harvest in Chase County, KS

Thank you to Joe Heathman, South Fork Seed Co, for sharing these harvest videos of our 6504R grain sorghum near Cottonwood Falls, Kansas.

This dryland field yielded an impressive 120 to 130 bushels per acre, demonstrating the strong performance and consistency of 6504R.

We'd also like to offer our apologies to Joe. Unfortunately, this field performed so well that he feels he has no choice but to keep growing milo! 😄

PS1147 TRE is a 114-day hybrid that has been delivering competitive performance in our plot data. Through September 15, 2026 it has finished above the plot average in 16 of 22 tests, averaging 9.3 bushels above the plot mean across the full dataset.

A few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to film a video with Phillips Seed and Phillips Seed Wildlife Dealer Klint Henke of KD Outdoors near Madison, KS, highlighting our PS1372 TRE corn hybrid and discussing a new hybrid, PS1526 VPR.

We didn't get the video posted before harvest, but now we have the yield results to share!

🌽 PS1372 TRE field average (Dryland) – 160.0 bu/a
🌽 PS1526 VPR 10-acre test plot (Dryland) – 191.0 bu/a

While the overall field of PS1372 TRE averaged 160.0 bu/a, the comparison area on similar ground yielded 186.4 bu/a, demonstrating the strong potential of this hybrid. The 10-acre PS1526 VPR test plot pushed that even further at 191.0 bu/a, making us even more excited about what this new hybrid could bring to growers across the region.

Another great day in the field checking crops with Phillips Seed Dealer Greg Anderson near Newman Grove, NE.

We had the opportunity to look at a dryland field of our PS1372 TRE corn hybrid along with 2903XF soybeans. The PS1372 TRE is planted on some excellent bottom ground, and during our preliminary counts we were impressed to find ears with 20 kernels around. It's always exciting to see strong yield potential beginning to take shape.

One of the best parts of this time of year is getting out in the plots!

We've been busy helping Fleming Feed & Grain take out corn plots and evaluate this season's hybrids. Fleming Feed & Grain is a Phillips Seed Farms dealer, and we're grateful for their partnership and for allowing us to be involved with their plots.

Pictured here is an experimental PowerCore® Enlist® corn hybrid from an irrigated plot in Southwest Kansas. It's looking very impressive and continues to show strong potential in high-yield irrigated environments.

Days spent in the field, checking plots and talking corn, are hard to beat. Thanks again to the Fleming Feed & Grain team for the opportunity!

🌽 Field Visit in Sterling, Kansas

We recently had the opportunity to walk fields with Chad Hook near Sterling, KS, and it was exciting to see both PS1227 PCE and PS1372 TRE performing under irrigation.

What makes these fields especially interesting is that Chad has pushed these hybrids for yield, giving us an excellent look at how they respond under high-management conditions. Both hybrids continue to look strong, and we're eager to see how they perform when the combines roll this fall.

We also had the chance to look at a unique soybean field where Chad planted a mix of Group 4 maturity soybeans. The thought behind the trial is that having maturity diversity within the field may encourage each variety to maximize its full potential. It's an innovative approach, and we're anxious to see the results.

A big thank you to Chad Hook for trusting Phillips Seed Farms products, trying new ideas, and sharing the progress of these crops with us throughout the season. Partnerships like these help us all learn and improve.
