Second year Platinum Sponsor Gamble Funeral Home
Raymond Prince Gamble attended the Kentucky Mortuary of Science School in Louisville from 1971 – to 1972 where he graduated with his embalming and funeral director license. He began embalming and funeral directing for Babbage Funeral Home. In 1987, Raymond opened Gamble Funeral Home at 1311 Liberty Street, in Hopkinsville, KY. Over the years he received several awards in the community. He had a passion for the funeral industry and helping people. His passion for helping people was the driving force behind the Gamble Funeral Home Scholarship. Raymond also had a passion for farming. He owned and leased several farms in Christian County.
Angela Pollard Bronaugh, Quality Manager, and Realtor married Raymond Gamble on Oct. 25, 2008. After a year of marriage, Raymond asked his wife to help out in the funeral home because his sister became ill and could no longer work. After 3 months of training, he saw the skills that were needed to become a funeral director in his wife. Together, they operated the business. It became a passion for them both and the scholarship became a passion of Angela’s. She has served on several boards and several school boards.
Raymond and Angela together were a blended family, daughters, Moneak, Angelique, De’Anna, and a son De’Airion. They enjoyed traveling, fishing, dancing, and most of all giving back to the community.
Angela still works as a Funeral Director, President, and CEO of Gamble Funeral Home after Raymond’s sudden passing in 2019.
