The Cabernet Sauvignon produced in Mendocino is excellent. It comes from high-elevation sites, and Pinot Noir often overshadows it. This one has savory aromas, dried plum, cassis, blackberry, notes of chicory, and toasty vanilla on the nose; the flavors on the palate are spicy mushrooms, espresso coffee, and clove with supple tannins on the finish. — Tonya Pitts

Harvest 2025 is officially underway! We kicked things off with our bright and beautiful Sauvignon Blanc from Bliss Vineyard this morning. Crisp clusters, cool morning temps, and the start of a season full of promise.

There’s something special about that first pick—the energy, the anticipation, the smell of freshly cut fruit. Here’s to another vintage in the making!

Let us start by saying thank you for your support of our family winery. It means a lot to us that we can keep our family’s legacy going into the future.
We also want to share what our family is most grateful for this Thanksgiving.
Last year, Kevin and Karen Brutocao welcomed their second son, Liam, into this world. He surprised us all when, upon birth, it was found he had a serious problem with his heart, and he was air lifted to UCSF. After a month in the hospital in SF, the family found out that Liam would need a heart transplant due to a severely enlarged heart and small chambers (Ventricular Hypertrophy). So severe, in fact, that Stanford did not think he would make it to transplant. He was admitted to UCLA’s transplant program spending 7 months in the hospital in LA. Liam underwent a VAD placement (external heart pump) and eventually ended up on ECMO (heart and lung machine) before a heart match was found in April.
Fast forward to today, Liam just celebrated his 1st birthday and is surprising us all with how well he is catching up! He is eating and drinking food, is getting close to crawling, and is even starting to say some words. A few of his favorite foods are pancakes, blueberries, and milk. He loves playing with his brother, James, and he loves going to GiGi’s house (Martha Brutocao-who just celebrated her 90th birthday!!). We think he will get the NG tube out any day now (tube for eating/drinking/taking meds).
We are so grateful to be able to share all of this good news with you. We wish you all the best this holiday season, and here’s to many more years of celebrating with you!
