Heavy heavy hearts with Horseheads Police Department and Officer Jamie Burgess with the passing of K9 Taja. At a complete loss for words as I type this. Taja was a very dedicated and loyal dog to her handler Officer Burgess. Not only was Taja a dedicated partner, but also a family member. I was grateful enough to have spent a Spring afternoon with Jamie and Taja photographing them. That look between the two of them...no words needed to be spoken. Rest in peace K9 Taja. Thank you for your service and GOD bless all those suffering this loss
